El texto que se presenta es parte de la tesis realizada en Brasil,
en la Universidad Federal de Vicosa para obtener el titulo de
Magister Scientiae. Esta investigacion aborda el comportamiento del
cultivo de soja en relacion a la captura y utilizacion de la
radiacion en distintas condiciones de deficit hidrico y muestra que
la perdida de la captura de la radiacion observada en los
tratamientos no irrigados fue compensada por un aumento en la
eficiencia de utilizacion de la radiacion. Cuando el cultivo fue
regado, la eficiencia de utilizacion de la radiacion permanecio
relativamente constante a lo largo del ciclo de cultivo. No fueron
encontradas diferencias significativas en la estructura del dosel o
cubierta vegetal para los tratamientos no irrigados pero si se
manifiesta una tendencia a presentar valores mas bajos de
coeficiente de extincion de la luz, lo que provoca una mejor
distribucion de la radiacion dentro de la cubierta vegetal. Este
libro se hace imprescindible para ampliar el conocimiento sobre una
de las leguminosas anuales mas importantes del mundo."
