A double bill of films set in India. Comedy-drama 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' (2011) follows the experiences of a group of elderly Brits who arrive to take up residence in a newly-opened retirement home in Bangalore, India. Despite its glossy publicity campaign, the Marigold turns out to be rather different from the refurbished luxury hotel advertised in the brochures.
However, it soon begins to reveal some unexpected charms of its own. Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Dev Patel, Tom Wilkinson and Maggie Smith star.
'Slumdog Millionaire' (2008), the rags-to-possible riches tale, was the winner of eight Oscars at the 2009 Academy Awards, including Best Film and Best Director.
Jamal Malik (Patel) is an 18-year-old street kid from the slums of Mumbai. So what is he doing appearing on the Indian version of 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire'? How can a young man from his background of poverty have acquired the knowledge to be only one correct answer away from winning 20 million rupees? With only one more question to be asked, however, the dream turns to nightmare. As the hooter sounds to signal the end of the show, Jamal is arrested and accused of cheating.
No one can believe that he could really know all of the answers he has given. As Jamal tells the story of his life to the police, the reasons for his success begin to appear. Will Jamal be freed to hear the final question and, if so, will he know the answer?

Advanced Ceramics for Photocatalytic Membranes: Synthesis Methods,
Characterization and Performance Analysis, and Applications in
Water and Wastewater Treatment reviews recent research on the
application and use of advanced ceramic materials in photocatalytic
membrane processes. Sections cover current developments in
photocatalytic membrane processes, synthesis and fabrication
techniques using either physical or chemical approaches, diverse
characterization methods and performance evaluations, and various
types of environmental applications. The book is not only limited
to the conceptual theory, it also gives a detailed review of recent
progress in materials science. Readers will find applications in
different disciplines, i.e., chemistry, physics, and mechanics that
are critically required in modern science and engineering. This
across-the-board briefing on the field is suitable for use as a
major reference, as well as a knowledge sharing tool.
Cutting edge technology-based drug delivery systems have been
rapidly growing and are being applied to various sections of
biomedicine. The current scenario of global burden due to
infectious disorders can take advantage of nanoparticulate based
carriers to advance the cure efficiency. Nanostructured Drug
Delivery Systems in Infectious Disease Treatment explores a broad
range of promising approaches for the treatment of infectious
diseases using the latest advancements in nanomedical technologies.
The book opens with introduction about infectious diseases and its
global burden. There is also specific discussion and assessment of
the global impact of viruses with an emphasis on COVID-19, Zika,
and Ebola. Subsequent chapters provide detailed information about
various novel nanotherapeutic strategies used for delivering drugs
for the treatment of various types of viral, bacterial, and fungal
disorders. Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems in Infectious
Disease Treatment is a valuable resource for graduates,
researchers, industry professionals, and anyone working to tackle
the challenges of delivering drugs in a more targeted and efficient
manner for the treatment of infectious
diseases.  Â
Nuclear Waste Management Facilities: Advances, Environmental
Impacts, and Future Prospects examines best practices and recent
trends in improving nuclear safety and reducing the negative
environmental impacts of nuclear waste. With strong emphasis on
regulatory requirements, this reference is essential for designing
new integrated waste management practices, using lessons learned
from historical and current practices. Divided into three key
sections, Part One introduces the reader to the safety and
environmental impacts of the nuclear industry. Part Two reviews
recent technological and methodological approaches to enhancing
safety, as well as reducing the carbon footprint of both individual
processes and integrated facilities. Topics covered include waste
processing, transmutation and decommissioning. Part Three consider
potential management schemes for special waste from innovative
sources, and wastes that contain emerging contaminants, including
waste recycling opportunities. Nuclear Waste Management Facilities:
Advances, Environmental Impacts, and Future Prospects is a crucial
tool needed to implement the safest and most environmentally
considerate best practices within nuclear waste management
facilities.

Nematode Diseases of Crops and their Sustainable Management focuses
on methods to recognize and identify nematode attackers in
agriculturally important crops, offering ecologically sustainable
and economically viable strategies and measures for the management
of nematode infestations and diseases. The book analyzes nematode
pests as major constraints in global crop production and explores
the limitations of existing nematode management technologies. It
offers comprehensive information through individually focused
chapters on major nematode problems in internationally important
food, fiber and beverage crops as well as in mushrooms, polyhouse
agriculture and forest flora with regard to distribution, and much
more. In view of the highly damaging nature of the disease
complexes and complexity in their management, independent chapters
on nematode-fungus and nematode-bacteria disease complexes and
their management are also presented.
