Islam in India: History, Politics and Society is based on the
historical and contemporary relevance of the religion and its
related culture(s) in India. Besides being a major religious
doctrine, Islam has been the main political ideology for many
dynasties in India such as Delhi Sultanate (1206-1451); the
Illbaris Turks (also known as Mamluk 1206-90); Khiljis (1290-1320);
Tughlaqs (1320-1414); Sayyids (1414-51), Afghans and the Mughal
Empire. Islam played a pivotal role in shaping the polity and
society during the period of each dynasty. This book argues that
Islam in India ought to be seen not only as a political and
religious ideology of the dynasties, but also as a significant
force that shaped the cultural fabric of the country. Print edition

Regional Sufi Centres in India: Significance and Contribution sets
out to explore and understand the hundreds of years old
multi-religious sect of India, "Sufism," which advocates humane and
global outlook for entire mankind and regards humanity as a
brotherhood. Sufism came to India from its Arabic Turkic and
Persian homes, instead of remaining confined to palaces and
mosques. It spread out to all over India establishing regional
Centres and Dargahs often known by the surnames of the families
which sustained it, like Khanqah-e-Niazia, in Bareilly (UP),
Khanqah Gesu Daraz in Gulbarga, and Firdausi in Bihar. The authors
of this volume discuss some of the regional Sufi Centres in India
and their contribution in the social emancipation of the society.

Sufism in India and Central Asia is an attempt to put into
perspective the relevance of Sufism - the concept and teaching, and
to provide a realistic assessment of its role in India and Central
Asia. The people of these regions with different ethnic
backgrounds, cultures and languages have been intermingling for
many centuries, as seen in the cross-current exchanges of religious
ideas and belief. The word Sufism, popularly known as mysticism is
most likely derived from the Arabic word suf (meaning "wool"), more
specifically it means "the person wearing ascetic woollen
garments." Sufism is deeply rooted in Islam and its development
began in the late 7th and 8th centuries. The present volume is an
attempt to look for answers to questions in relation to Sufism in
India and Central Asia and to evaluate its relevance in the
contemporary period. A group of distinguished scholars from India
and Central Asia have contributed papers to this volume. This
volume will be useful to students and researchers working on social
and cultural aspects of India and Central Asia.

This book of English Grammar is the anthology of numerous
questions, queries and linguistic problems asked by the teachers of
English, formal students of English and general English learners
all over the world. These questions, queries and linguistic
problems have been discussed and answered by the English
Grammarians. This book is different from other books on English
Grammar available at the book markets for several reasons: 1. It is
not only a theoretical description of the rules of English Grammar
but it consists of the practical usage of academic English as well
as the Language used practically in various walks life. 2. Every
rule of English Grammar is thoroughly illustrated. 3. Every rule is
clearly analyzed from different angles according to the current
usage. 4. This book is a comprehensive study of almost every aspect
of English Grammar.
Due to globalization, in the worldwide market position of the 21st
century, the pace of change in business practice is faster than
ever before. In recent past, most of the multinational
organizations are focusing on geographical diversification and
expanding their business all over the world. Geographical
diversification is a policy employed by large companies of locating
their procedures in different areas in order to decrease company
and operational menace. The current research focuses on how
geographical diversification is linked with business growth. For
this analysis research is focus on HSBC bank. By employing survey
technique, data are gathered from 100 employees of HSBC through
personally administrated questionnaire. After analyzing the data
results shows that geographical diversification is important for
business growth and expansion because if organizations can operate
across a vast range of continents they will be able to reach more
people to sell their products to. There is a more chance to
diversify the products and bring innovation in the product. The
study concludes that geographical diversification is one of the key
reasons for continuous business growth of HSBC.
Among the fodder crops, Forage Sorghum has a critical role because
its characteristics are suitable for the climate of Pakistan.
Breeding programmes involving the selection of better accessions
depend upon the available and potential variability in the genetic
makeup. However, when the information on genetic correlation among
green fodder yield and its components is available, the crucial
task of screening the genetic material becomes easy. The present
studies were undertaken to evolve an efficient selection benchmark
to facilitate the future potential breeding programmes and to
select the lines on the basis of possession of traits having high
contribution to yield.
Semiconductor clusters have one extraordinarily important property
that on doping and on changes in size, their properties change
appreciably and in a controllable way. Current research into
semiconductor clusters is focused on the properties of thin films
having nanometre range grain size. The wide range of optical and
electrical properties of II-VI group compounds make them an
important class of materials and competing candidates for silicon
and other semiconductor materials in photovoltaic and
optoelectronic applications. In this monograph, the structural,
spectroscopic and optoelectronic properties of Cadmium Sulfide,
Cadmium Telluride and Zinc Oxide thin films are studied in detail.
The effects of substrate and grain size on structural and optical
properties of these materials are also discussed. Moreover, the
synthesis of CdS nanoparticles and fabrication of ZnO thin films by
the sol-gel methods and their spectroscopic characterization are
described. The ab-initio DFT calculations are carried for the
computations of the DOS and band structures of the CdS hexagonal
wurtzite, CdTe zinc blende and ZnO hexagonal wurtzite. Effect of Cd
dopping in ZnO is also studied theoretically.
Shorttitle: Part one of the book covers the design of ELT materials
and methods in the light of various ELT approaches. Part two looks
into the possibilities of teaching the language skills (reading,
listening, speaking, writing, and integrated skills) separately as
well as integrally. Part three of the book examines different
classroom methods such as; group-work and pair-work,
individualization, self-access and learner training, observing the
language classroom, and role of the teacher.
My sole aim of writing this book is to discuss as to how I found
the five pillars of education functioning, as I have entitled the
book, and how we can improve every one of them. I have discussed
critically each pillar of education from different angles to point
out the drawbacks in it and how to bring about reformations
therein. With this purpose in mind, I have touched some flawed
aspects in the education system with a bitter tone but the aim
behind this is never ever my personal prejudices because I, being a
teacher, also belong to this profession.
