between 1980 and 1986. The recipes are presented in this unique
collection by Executive Editor Robert A. Powell. The cover

magazine. America has always been a transient society. When the
pioneers ventured across the vast mountains and settled in the
wilderness that became Kentucky, the yearning for social engagement
became crucial. The curious, wandering traveler was always welcome
to stop for a rest; to visit and partake of a meal or refreshment
while spinning yarns of his wondrous adventures. Any excuse for a
social gathering was accepted, and food was most certainly an
important part of any group related activity. The favorite recipe
was shared. Many became known by their special dish. Kentuckians
became well-known for exceptional hospitality and phenomenal
cuisine.

A Novel for Adults A spellbinding adventure into the mysterious
psychic world of witchcraft and the supernatural; combining
frightening nightmarish visions with extraordinary experiences of
everyday reality. Syndi takes us on a wild exotic trip into the
unknown in order to create The Ultimate Coven. This can only be
accomplished when twelve young females, all born within twelve
months of each other, but with no two born under the same sign of
the Zodiac, are initiated into witchcraft and ritualistically wed
to Satan. These novices must be innocent of the occult, and unaware
of their true commission, until the designated time. During a
special sacrificial ritual, the forces of evil will regenerate to
full power. To properly balance the power struggle between good and
evil, a disciple of Darkness is born every twenty-five years. It is
the sole task of that individual to perform a mission to regroup
the diabolic energy of magical power that has become scattered
throughout the world. This can only be accomplished during the
disciple's twenty-fifth year. As the disciple for this generation,
Syndi must create a Coven of Evil, using a Warlock with her same
Zodiac sign, and twelve designated females who are incognizant of
their role.

landmarks from our proud and noble heritage, both natural and
man-made, that have played a major role in the development of this
great country. American Heritage Landmarks is a collection of pen

Sheltowee: The Adoption of Boone This exciting wilderness adventure
was inspired by true accounts of the near fatal adoption of
Kentucky pioneer Daniel Boone by Chief Blackfish, War Chief of the
Shawnee Indian Nation, on the periphery of the American Revolution.
It follows the capture, adoption and escape of Boone and the siege
of Fort Boonesborough by the Shawnee that came thereafter. During
the severe Kentucky winter of 1777-78 frontier legend Daniel Boone
was captured by a Shawnee war party who were on their way to
annihilate the fort at Boonesborough under direction of their
British allies. In order to protect the settlers and save the fort,
Boone surrendered himself and 28 men to Chief Blackfish. Boone was
considered perhaps the most prized trophy an Indian could attain at
that time. Chief Blackfish was more interested in flaunting his
prize before the British and the other Indian tribes of the region,
so he offered Boone the opportunity of proving himself worthy to be
a chief's son. In a series of grueling tests of manhood, Boone was
pitted against the top braves of the tribe. After successfully
passing the rites, Boone was adopted as the son of Chief Blackfish
and given the Shawnee name of Sheltowee. This brought him to
another near death situation. He had saved the men, escaped death
by the British as well as the Indians, but was now considered a
traitor by several of the pioneers. To fulfill his mission, Boone
had to escape from the Indians, make his way through the wilderness
with a war party hot on his trail; warn the fort, and prepare for a
siege by 600 warring savages, who had been provided weapons and
incentive by the conniving British Governor, "Hair-buyer" Hamilton.
The story plays out at the historic siege on Fort Boonesborough.

The year 2014 has a special significance that is addressed in this
book by Robert Powell and Estelle Isaacson. Dr. Robert Powell is a
spiritual researcher who in this short work-and in many other
books-brings the results of his own research investigations.
Estelle Isaacson is a contemporary seer who is gifted with a
remarkable ability to perceive new streams of revelation. Both have
been blessed in an extraordinary way by virtue of accessing the
realm wherein Christ is presently to be found. Powell makes the
critical point that the year 2014 not only denotes the beginning of
a new 600-year cultural wave in history but also that there is an
ancient prophecy applying to this very same year, 2014, which can
be interpreted as pointing to the onset of the twenty-first-century
incarnation of the Bodhisattva who will become the future Maitreya
Buddha, the successor to Gautama Buddha. Powell also makes the
crucial point that the Maitreya Buddha awaited in Buddhism is the
same as the Kalki Avatar expected in Hinduism. Powell's
contribution serves as an introduction to Isaacson's offering,
comprising a series of six visions relating to the future Maitreya
Buddha. The visions are highly inspirational, communicating
something of the profound spirituality, peace, radiance, and, above
all, goodness of this Bodhisattva who is Gautama Buddha's
successor. His title, Maitreya, means "bearer of the good," and in
Isaacson's visions he emerges as a remarkable force for good in our
time. Also included in this book are two appendices: A Survey of
Rudolf Steiner's Indications Concerning the Maitreya Buddha and the
Kalki Avatar and Valentin Tomberg's Indications Concerning the
Coming Buddha-Avatar, Maitreya-Kalki. A third appendix discusses
the significance of Rudolf Steiner's Foundation Stone of Love
meditation as a heralding of Christ's Second Coming.
Rail yards serve as major nodes that facilitate delivery of cargo
to the consignee. The level of operational efficiency maintained
within rail yards determines whether customers receive cargo late.
Various external and internal factors can impede the operational
efficiency of rail yards. The future growth of rail industry
depends on how well it manages a potentially serious problem
inherent to all railroads--rail congestion. This study reviews the
processes that occur within the Knoche rail yard, which is located
in Kansas City, Kansas, and also examines several strategies to
improve the operational efficiency of the yard's rip track
facility. This study reveals that the operational efficiency of the
Knoche rail yard may be enhanced if the following occur: (1)
increase the rip track facility queue population from fifteen to
twenty-two, and (2) spot bad order cars directly onto the two
tracks leading into the rip track facility. Finally, the amount of
double handling by switch engines daily may be decreased by as much
as 96% within the rail yard.
Journal for Star Wisdom 2011 includes articles of interest
concerning star wisdom (Astrosophy), as well as a guide to the
correspondences between stellar configurations during the life of
Christ and those of today. This guide comprises a complete sidereal
ephemeris and aspectarian, geocentric and heliocentric, for each
day throughout the year. Published yearly, new editions are
available beginning in November for the coming new year.According
to Rudolf Steiner, every step taken by Christ during his ministry
between the baptism in the Jordan and the resurrection was in
harmony with-and an expression of-the cosmos. The Journal for Star
Wisdom is concerned with these heavenly correspondences during the
life of Christ. It is intended to help provide a foundation for
cosmic Christianity, the cosmic dimension of Christianity. It is
this dimension that has been missing from Christianity in its
two-thousand-year history.Readers can begin on this path by
contemplating the movements of the Sun, Moon, and planets against
the background of the zodiacal constellations (sidereal signs)
today in relation to corresponding stellar events during the life
of Christ. In this way, the possibility is opened for attuning, in
a living way, to the life of Christ in the etheric cosmos.Daniel
AndreevThe 2011 Journal for Star Wisdom begins with a special
extract from The Rose of the World by Daniel Andreev, as well as an
extract from volume three of the original Rosa Mira: Rose of the
World-"The Preparation of Human Beings for the Coming
Antilogos"-translated and published for the first time in English.
This article is of special interest to those who wish to understand
better the impending incarnation of Ahriman, the Antichrist. The
main focus of this year's journal is the significant year of 2012,
with 2011 as a stepping stone to this pivotal year in the history
of humanity and the Earth. Apart from articles by David Tresemer
and Robert Powell more directly concerning 2012, William Bento's
article offers important perspectives on the theme of prophecy-its
meaning and significance for modern human beings. Kevin Dann's
article highlights the Christ rhythm of 33 1/3 years in the
biography of Henry David Thoreau and in the history of the United
States. Brian Gray's article looks at the Moon Node rhythm of 18
years 7 months in Rudolf Steiner's life, especially in relation to
Steiner's artistic activity, which, according to Brian's
interpretation, is indicated in Steiner's horoscope of birth. David
Tresemer's second article offers deep insights into the qualities
of certain degrees of the zodiacal signs. The monthly commentaries
by Claudia McLaren Lainson and David Tresemer are supported by
monthly astronomical previews provided by Sally Nurney and offer
profound insights into the meaning of stellar configurations during
the year 2011.
