A cyber-attack has destroyed 80% of America's electrical grid leaving hundreds of millions of people in the dark with no infrastructure and no running water. Martial law has been declared and it has been rumored that Russian troops are assisting with security and continuity of government operations. Terrorists have blown the hydroelectric Dams surrounding a prepper festival stranding the campers on an island with no chance of escape other than using their own wits and ingenuity. Food is almost none existent for these cast away survivors in book two of the "A prepper Is Cast Adrift" series and desperate times call for desperate measures. Enjoy a prepper fiction post apocalyptic tale of intrigue and suspense sprinkled with southern country humor and zany characters.
This book combines the three post apocalyptic adventure books of the "Solitary Man Series". Look around, millions of preppers are working feverishly every day to get prepared for what they fear is a disaster about to happen in America. The motivation for preparing differs for each person. Donald is getting his farmstead prepared in case a predicted solar storm takes out the electrical grid. Some folks might call what Donald is trying to create as a Bug Out location. Other People consider his little rural house as an effort to become more self-sufficient like a homesteader. Donald can agree with both lines of thinking, but the way he sees it, it is going to be his own safe haven or refuge from the N.A.S.A. predicted solar storm. This book focuses on building a bug out location from scratch, with permaculture and disaster psychology applied to an unfolding catastrophe.
A solar storm has just hit the world causing a EMP event. A emergency manager visiting Atlanta GA must find his way back home after this electromagnetic pulse has stranded him away from his vehicle and his beloved "bug out bag." With 180 miles to go to his destination, David must let his street smarts and survival skills kick in as food and water becomes scarce and societal breakdown proceeds at an unrelenting pace. An interesting and often funny cast of characters from the Deep South helps the displaced Prepper on his way, as he shares his knowledge of how to make do with common items in order to live another day. Ultimately, he acquires an old tractor and heads for home on a car-littered interstate. This is book one of the Prepper Trilogy.
What does it mean to lament? It means to express passionately your grief. It is crying. It is mourning. It is grieving. Sometimes it's all you, or others, can do. David is a prepper with a heart and he sorrows for those who have not heeded the call to prepare. Those poor souls who have not put food and supplies away in case of a disaster are facing famine and disease from a cyber attack that has taken the electrical grid down. David has other laments, things that only a prepper knows or can share. Protecting his own food and his humanity is one distraction; the other is his concern for people who are forced to labor in public works projects in order to receive food
The Preppers prevail in book 3 of the Solitary Man Series. This is a short novelette. A solar storm has taken out the Nation's electrical grid but Donald was ready for it and has prepped the finest solution available in the form of his very own solar generator. The survivors have to bug out of the farmstead as wildfires, looters and bad water threaten their existence. They are going to try to make it through the roads of a desperate world to a youth summer camp recreational area to carry on their lives and they will be the ones that thrive. Modern civilization travels with them because they have the means to run electric tools and a lap top computer that was protected by a faraday cage. The encyclopedias full of knowledge of how to live off the land, treat illness and kick start an industrial society remains at their fingertips if they can hold on to it and protect it.

This early work is a fascinating look at a vanished era and skills we can still use today The Prepper Archaeology project is a joint venture between Ron Foster and Cheryl Chamlies to establish a collection of historic preparedness research and information books under the banner of Elemental Publishing. We search the antique book stores and the archives for old tomes of forgotten knowledge contained in out of print or forgotten books and make arrangements to republish them as a resurrection into good quality modern books. Meticulous care and detail in reproduction is undertaken to preserve and honor the author's original works and preserve the old time secrets and methods used by great pioneers and woodsmen. The republishing process utilizes good quality low acid creme colored paper and modernized high gloss book covers for durability. The books included in the collection are hand selected by experts in their field for the Prepper community's enjoyment, so that this historical lore will not be lost and may be reused again to face the disasters of an uneasy world once more. This book that we have undertaken to represent was originally published in 1907. It contains methods of trapping and snaring that may be illegal in your state. Please you caution and common sense if you wish to try any of the historic methods contained here in. The book is for informational and research uses only. Arthur Robert Harding (July 1871 - 1930), better known as A. R. Harding, was an American outdoorsman and founder of Hunter-Trader-Trapper and Fur-Fish-Game Magazine, and publisher, editor and author of many popular outdoor how-to books of the early 1900s. Harding began hunting and trapping at the age of nine. At age 14, he was buying pelts from boys in his neighborhood, and reselling them at a profit. Making his rounds on horseback, he carried most of the pelts in a sack, but tied the fox skins to the saddle to show that his business was doing well. By the age of 20, Harding was employed by L. Frank & Sons, Ohio's Reliable Fur and Hide Dealers, of Zanesville, Ohio, as a fur buyer.
