Este libro presenta un estudio de federaciones deportivas, sus estructuras y las politicas escritas para administrar el deporte. Este caso de estudio es con las federaciones nacionales de gimnasia artistica de: Australia, Francia, Italia, Nueva Zelanda, Ecuador e Indonesia. Se revisan los reglamentos que rigen para: directivos, entrenadores, jueces y gimnastas. Se desarrolla la metodologia dentro del marco de la investigacion cualitativa. Se revisaron documentos, 52 entrevistas y discusiones grupales. Se revisa la literatura de la administracion deportiva, comportamiento organizacional, ley y deporte, y analisis critico de politicas. Los datos obtenidos se analizaron desde perspectivas diferentes: Comparacion de las politicas escritas; opinion de los entrevistados acerca de las politicas existentes; comparacion de las opiniones de los entrevistados en atencion a su grupo.
