Comprehensive Precision Medicine holistically integrates essential
and interconnecting disciplines that contribute to the make-up of
Precision Medicine as we know it today. Encompassing almost 90
contributions from eminent scholars and professionals, the book's
contents are organized across 3 volumes and 7 major subject areas,
each representing a key pillar driving the evolution and
progression of healthcare delivery. Precision medicine approaches
will transform the training and practice of all aspects of
professional healthcare delivery, including medicine, nursing,
pharmacy, psychology, rehabilitation, and social work. This will be
a fundamental reference resource for students, post-graduate
trainees, researchers, scientists and clinicians interested in
precision medicine. Additionally, this resource will be of interest
to regulators, policy makers, and public health practitioners
across the globe.
Compiles the most current information on the Zika virus and its
associated diseases This comprehensive book provides the most
up-to-date information for students, medical students, and
scientists on Zika virus and its associated diseases. It includes
all the information related to the Zika virus since its discovery
in 1947; its epidemic outbreak in 2007-2014; how the epidemiology
changed in America in 2015-2016; its mode of transmission; how to
prevent and treat it; and associated diseases. Zika Virus and
Diseases: From Molecular Biology to Epidemiology offers complete
and up-to-date coverage in 10 chapters. It presents information
from papers that attempted to associate the virus with diseases in
Africa until the first animal experiment; discusses its association
with Guillain-Barre syndrome and microcephaly; describes the basic
mechanisms for Zika (ZIKV) replication, including important
differences between Dengue (DENV), West-Nile virus (WNV), and ZIKV;
explains the difference between the strains and discusses the
pathogenesis of them; covers the papers that showed all the
interferences that Zika can cause, and the pathways which can be
modified; and more. The first book since 1947 to put together all
the scientific information Compiles all the information received in
the last year about Zika virus Clearly demonstrates the origin and
discovery of the virus Zika Virus and Diseases: From Molecular
Biology to Epidemiology will appeal to graduate students, medical
students, basic researchers, clinicians in infectious disease,
microbiology, and virology, as well as people in related
disciplines interested in learning more about this topic.
Nonhuman primates represent a small fraction of animals used in
biomedical research, but they remain important research models due
to their similarities to humans with respect to genetic makeup,
anatomy, physiology, and behavior. Limitations in the availability
of nonhuman primates have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic
and recent restrictions on their exportation and transportation,
impacting National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded research
necessary for both public health and national security.
Additionally, there is continued interest in understanding whether
and how nonanimal models can be used to answer scientific questions
for which nonhuman primates are currently used. At the direction of
the U.S. Congress, NIH asked the National Academies of Sciences,
Engineering, and Medicine to convene an expert committee to conduct
a landscape analysis of current and future use of nonhuman primates
in NIH-supported biomedical research, as well as opportunities for
new approach methodologies to complement or reduce reliance on
nonhuman primate models. This report provides the committee
findings and conclusions. Table of Contents Front Matter Summary 1

Disclosure of Unavoidable Conflicts of Interest
This comprehensive revision begins with a review of static electric and magnetic fields, providing a wealth of results useful for static and time-dependent fields problems in which the size of the device is small compared with a wavelength. Some of the static results such as inductance of transmission lines calculations can be used for microwave frequencies. Familiarity with vector operations, including divergence and curl, are developed in context in the chapters on statics. Packed with useful derivations and applications.
Journey thru the mind is a step back and see what is already in
there. How to rethink the impossible and find the leader that is in
all of us. We have been wired for failure and it is time to get
rewired and get those dreams back.
Everyday Angels walking among us is about what you don't see until
you open your eyes. Once your eyes are open then so many things
star to happen. Part of life is death which makes us so sad however
the other part of life is a new body and we can see those that love
us. You must stop and open your eyes and heart and watch what
happens. Are you ready for the journey to start?
