As criticism continues to mount over Israel's violation of
Palestinian human rights and of international law, campaigns to
silence and repress those who speak out against Israeli apartheid
have grown alarmingly. College and university campuses across the
United States now find themselves centre stage in this conflict
over free speech: targeted by the Israel 'lobby' for the critical
content of their scholarship, academics have been turned away from
jobs, denied tenure and promotion, rejected for funding, and even
expelled from institutions, while student groups like the 'Irvine
11' have faced harassment and sanctions. From establishment figures
like Richard Falk and former US Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, to
professors, postgraduates and activist alumni, We Will Not Be
Silenced contains thirteen testimonials from those whose struggle
to defend their academic freedom has garnered widespread public and
international attention.
Underachievement is approached from a broad, integrated perspective
in this insightful look at the talented adolescent who always
performs below his or her optimum level of achievement. Professor
Griffin examines the psychological, social, and scholastic reasons
behind the phenomenon of the distracted and disengaged high school
student. The result of this in-depth study: A unique volume
describing effective student learning behavior, providing
curricular and instructional proposals for motivating
underachievers, and offering a construct that provides the basis
for understanding the various factors that account for academic
achievement.

Examining the border-enclosure strategy Israel uses to impose
Palestinian im/mobilization, Maryam Griffin considers the ways
public transportation in the Palestinian West Bank is a constant
site of social struggle. Her illuminating book, Vehicles of
Decolonization, studies collective movement, resistance, and
everyday life in the West Bank to show how Palestinians assert a
kind of Indigenous self-determination over mobility that Israeli
settler colonialism seeks to undermine. Having immersed herself in
a year of fieldwork, Griffin maps multiple engagements with the
flexible bus, shared van, and private taxi services to demonstrate
that the politics of mobility are shaped by ongoing settler
colonialism and Indigenous struggle. Griffin uses critical border
studies to look at the contested nature of mobility at the sites of
transit, where Palestinians practice self-determination through
routine participation, spectacular political organizing and
demonstration, and artistic renderings. Featuring a variety of
street images, Vehicles of Decolonization shows that multiple
registers of people power work in concert not only to resist
settler colonial logics but to reinhabit the land through the
practice and preservation of alternative relations of mobility.

How many times have you dared to dream only to have it stolen? Well
today that stops now Here stowed away in the pages of this book
lies a Concealed Weapon. Not only will you be equipped with the
most deadliest weapons that are a secret to most, you have also
been assigned a partner. He is chosen to walk along life's
difficult terrain with you to protect you and to cover your blind
spots. He is meek, mild, controlled, mysterious, but yet He is
extremely dangerous Together you will conquer anything that dare to
stop you from reaching your dreams and goals in this life time.
This book is a long awaited answer to a prayer and a gift. The
weapons that you will read as you flip through will divinely attach
themselves to the areas of your life that have been starving
unbeknownst to you. You will be refreshed, revived and renewed and
well equipped to complete the plan for your life. By the time you
complete this small yet powerful book, you may look like a Mack
Truck, but when duty calls, you will transform into something out
of this world You will have the confidence to lift your voice and
say, I Am A Concealed Weapon
This is a new release of the original 1943 edition.
Have you ever wondered who you were and why you were born? If so
you are not alone. More than half the world ponders the same thing.
You see I followed others in hopes of finding who I was in them;
however, what I discovered is that the people I most admired had no
clue of who they were either. The failures of life made me mad
enough to do something about my life which allowed the birth of my
book " Your Mind's Eye." This book speaks about the images that you
see in your mind but you can't quite figure out what they mean.
Your Mind's Eye flashes pictures of you constantly without stopping
or rewinding. These images are black and white lacking any color or
life. Life does not start until you find out how to put what you
see into real life. Your Mind's Eye will be like a big sister,
brother, best friend or mentor that'll guide you back through the
rubble of your past to help you locate the missing keys to unlock
the door to the real you.
Is there a place out in the multiverse where you're better than you
could ever be here? Where you married your greatest enemy and held
their hand as their light went out? Where you murdered your best
friend and denied it was an accident, despite what the courts say?
On an infinite timeline, anything's possible, right? Each
razor-sharp story in this collection cuts open a portal to another
dimension where you find yourself admiring a dark mirror...so kick
off your body like a pair of dirty boots and go swim in the aether
of ephemeral hope.
