An expert system is software that uses a knowledge base of human expertise for problem solving, or clarifies uncertainties where normally one or more human experts would need to be consulted. Expert systems are most common in a specific problem domain, and are a traditional application and/or subfield of artificial intelligence (AI). A "HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM'' is a computerized management system. This management system has been developed to form whole management system including Employees, Doctors (consultants), Nurses, Patients, Bills, and Complains etc. This system also keeps the records of hardware assets besides software of this organization. The proposed system will keep a track of Employees, Doctors, Patients, Accounts and generation of report regarding the present status. This project has web based software that will help in storing, updating and retrieving the information through various user-friendly menu-driven modules.

Confucius thought that happiness and prosperity would prevail if everyone would behave "correctly" as a family member. The cultural importance of the family is also emphasized in the Old Testament. The earliest codified literature in India, the Rig-Veda, which dates back from about the last half of the second millennium B.C., and the Law of Manu, which dates from about the beginning of Christian era, devote much attention to the family out of all human groups, family is considered the most important basic group. It is a very small social group which basically consists of parents and their children. The family, in turn, can continue to exist only if it is supported by the larger society. Children who are deprived of love and affection from their biological parents, either due to death of their parents or abandonment of children by parents are called Orphan Children. An orphanage is a public institution dedicated for the care of orphans. These orphanages look after the orphans for food, clothes, shelter, education, culture and health.

Sound mental health is a pre-requisite for human productivity and the developmental process. It is crucial to economic and technological advancement. Health compasses senses of well-being, wholeness and soundness that means more than the simple freedom from illness - a fact appreciated in the World Health Organization's definition of health as more than the absence of disease or infirmity. Thus, good health is a synthesis of physical, mental and social well-being. The Preamble to the WHO Constitution also states that the enjoyment of highest attainable standard of health is a fundamental right of every human being. The quintessential objective of every educational endeavor is to optimize the learning of the students and endow them with qualitative education. This on the part of the teachers as well as the students stipulates that they should fully exploit their cognitive interventions mental health.
