This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Second
International Conference on Futuristic Trends in Network and
Communication Technologies, FTNCT 2019, held in Chandigarh, India,
in November 2019. The 49 revised full papers and 6 short papers
presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 226
submissions. The prime aim of the conference is to invite
researchers from different domains of network and communication
technologies to a single platform to showcase their research ideas.
The selected papers are organized in topical sections on network
and computing technologies; wireless networks and Internet of
Things (IoT); futuristic computing technologies; communication
technologies, security and privacy.
Phytochemical research took shape with the isolation of morphine by
F.W. Seturner in 1805. This book includes about 290
phytopharmaceuticals giving their characterization and structure
elucidation by modern instrumental methods like UV, IR, HNMR 13C
NMR, Ms, HRMS, X-Ray, biosynthesis and synthesis. The book though
written for M.Pharm. Pharmacognosy will, however, also found useful
as a reference by researchers in natural product chemistry in ICMR
units, National Laboratories and pharmaceutical industry the world
over.
Oral health is an integral part of general health. An improvement
in the oral health may play an integral role in improving the
general health, adequate instructions in proper care of the teeth
and oral tissues is thus essential. It is the responsibility of the
health system to provide proper information about maintenance of
oral health and available health facilities for general and oral
health. In turn the community should use these facilities for their
general and oral health betterment. This community is neglected
like the old age people by the society and profession. Even though
new found sporadic attention is given to this population with
medical facility almost nil attention is given for their oral
health care. The prisoners also deserve equal rights for their
health attention. Keeping the above matter in consideration a
specific oral health survey has been taken up on the inmates of
prisoners of Lucknow prison in state of Uttar Pradesh to assess
their oral health status so that needed treatment can be planned
accordingly by concerned authorities.
This book comprises of my research work which was carried out in
Kothiwal dental college, research centre & hospital, moradabad,
india. In this research work a new surgical technique was followed
for surgical closure of oroantral fistula using collagen membrane
and demineralized bovine bone graft and bone formation was
evaluated. Oroantral fistula is a pathologic communication between
oral cavity and maxillary antrum and persistence of which can cause
serious problems to patients thus immediate closure is desirable.
Although various surgical procedures had been advocated for closure
of oroantral fistula, this technique has advantage over traditional
method as their is Bone formation in the fistula site thus in
future endosseous implants can be placed for rehabilitation of the
patients. The bone formed by using these grafts is of good quality
and have significant strength for implant placement.Furthermore
studies using greater sample sizes are required to establish this
new technique, the technique is very promising in future prospects
.This research work was carried out obeying all the ethical
prinicples.
Seven phosphate solubilising bacteria, belonging to
Enterobacteriaceae family, capable of utilizing Xylose and rock
phosphate as the sole carbon and phosphate source were isolated by
enrichment culture method. This PSB exhibited mineral phosphate
solubilising (MPS) phenotype on xylose and glucose, which are
substrates for enzyme glucose dehydrogenase (GDH), as carbon
sources. The isolates secreted formic acid and xylonic acid by
utilizing xylose. In all the isolates, GDH activity was found when
grown on Glucose and Xylose, indicating that it is constitutive and
could act on a wide range of aldose sugars. PFL enzyme activity in
all xylose utilizing cells was higher, since PFL is a marker of
anaerobic conditions thus all the isolates were facultative
anaerobes. Efficiency of the isolates for phosphorus solubilization
in natural environments was further confirmed by pot experiments on
mung bean plants.
Several alternative fuels like hydrogen, CNG, LNG, producer gas,
biogas, alcohols, vegetable oils etc. are being explored around the
globe with a view to supplement fuels and reduce environmental
pollution. The alcohol fuels could not be exploited on a large
scale because the petroleum fuels were abundant, cheap and easy to
produce. Several vegetable oils are being produced in the country.
Among vegetable oils rice bran oil can be used as CI engine fuel.
Rice bran oil and its ester have been used satisfactorily for
partial replacement of the diesel fuel. Use of vegetable oil and
ethanol blend gave satisfactory results. But ester of vegetable oil
and ethanol has never been used before as fuel in CI engines. The
concept of employing alcohol especially ethanol with ester of
vegetable oils as a fuel in engines is totally new and
revolutionary. This study helped to assess the feasibility of using
blend of rice bran oil methyl ester and ethanol as fuel in a diesel
engine.
Availability of large number of disease free genuine planting
material is a major constraint in expanding area under pomegranate
cultivation for which tissue culture can be explored as an
alternative tool to fulfil the demand for elite planting material.
In the first part of the study an efficient in vitro propagation
protocol for pomegranate cv. G-137 (a superior clone of "Ganesh")
has been developed. Improper hardening of in vitro raised plantlets
leads to high field mortality and poor growth of plantlets which
act as a hurdle in popularization of in vitro propagation in
pomegranate. So, in the second part of the study four different
arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) strains namely, Glomus mosseae,
Acaulospora laevis, Glomus manihotis and a mixed AMF strain were
used as biohardening agents to improve survival and growth of in
vitro raised pomegranate plantlets. The above said AMF strains were
also used in this study to enhance the performance of pomegranate
hardwood cuttings in terms of high success rate and subsequently
improved growth, physiological and biochemical attributes of
cutting derived plants.
The study of Analog and Digital electronics is essential for
students pursuing degrees in electrical, electronics, computer
science, or information technology. Analog and Digital electronics
are found in a broad range of applications within these
disciplines, from analog circuit design to digital circuit design
and analysis. This book deals with the theory and practices of
Analog and Digital electronics. It starts with basics of
electronics and goes on to discuss special types of Diodes, BJT and
FET transistors, Amplifiers, and finally ends up with the coverage
of Oscillators and Power in Digital circuits. This book strictly
follows most of the syllabus of analog and digital electronics
without sacrificing the basic principles and depth of the subject.
This book highlights recent advances and evolution of various
nanomaterials and their potential in diverse research fields. The
book covers the synthesis and characterization of various
nanomaterials, followed by discussion on desired applications such
as clean and green renewable energy, coating, sensors, thermal
applications, microelectronics, biomedical applications such as
drug carriers, nutrition, biosensors and detection of cancer
cells. The chapters in this book not only illustrate the
capability of nanomaterials in such novel usages but also reveal
their potential drawbacks and the possible ways to overcome the
pitfalls. The book covers interdisciplinary research advancement of
nanomaterials, beneficial for researchers and professionals working
in both science and engineering.
