It's 1886 in dusty Prescott, Arizona and young Georgia Belle is
dragged into town with her two daughters to face the trial of her
husband who is accused of murdering the marshal.
Locked up in the boarding house next to the jail, Georgia
anxiously awaits the verdict and soon senses that nobody cares if
her abusive husband is the real killer or not. Found guilty, her
husband is hanged. In the meantime, the townsfolk gossip and
speculate whether Georgia is really a gunslinger who rides the
range. Forced to sell the ranch, she leaves her daughters with her
father, and solicits the aide of a whorehouse madam who introduces
her to Ben Anderson, a successful bounty hunter with an ego bigger
than the Grand Canyon. Together, they have a son and build a
working cattle ranch, but Ben has many enemies and Georgia can't
shake an undeniable feeling of impending danger. After Georgia's
dreams go up in smoke, she starts her life again in California,
this time with her son.
Georgia must learn to deal with the difficulties of living in a
man's world in the Old West, while managing to keep a few dark
secrets along the way.
All This Thinking explores the deep friendship and the critical and
creative thinking between Bernadette Mayer and Clark Coolidge,
focusing on an intense three-year period in their three decades of
correspondence. These fiercely independent American avant-garde
poets have influenced and shaped poets and poetic movements by
looking for radical poetics in the everyday. This collection of
letters provides insight into the poetic scenes that followed World
War II while showcasing the artistic practices of Mayer and
Coolidge themselves. A fascinating look at both the poets and the
world surrounding them, All This Thinking will appeal to all
readers interested in post-World War II poetry.
The Euro: is it really the crowning achievement of half a century
of European integration efforts? Quite the contrary: It seems that
the Euro has now become a great threat to the European Union as
such. This book explains the impact which the ongoing Eurocrisis
has already had on the member states and their inhabitants; and it
does so without assuming that the reader is already an expert on
any of the topics addressed, making it a both thorough and
convenient introduction to the problem area. Sooner or later, any
professor teaching courses on international relations,
international political economy, or European politics will have to
field questions regarding the Eurocrisis. Considering the
complexity and relative peculiarity of the topic, the instructor
would need to have some sort of supplement to explain the story of
the euro. The authors attempt to interpret the crisis and its
effects by focusing on three key questions: 1. Why has the
Eurocrisis been so severe? 2. Why choose austerity as the solution?
3. Why not abandon the Euro altogether? Exploring these questions,
the book allows to develop one's own understanding of the crisis
and the difficult policy challenges ahead as the EU grapples with a
post-crisis future.

It's a great debut: welcome to Stephanie Anderson's chapbook, In
the Particular Particular, the winner of the 2006 NMP/DIAGRAM
chapbook contest. These poems smoke when sprayed with water: that
is how hot they are. (Technically that's evaporation, but it looks
a lot like smoke.) They are each like evaporations, evocations,
interactions with the world via verb and adjective and noun. They
are gloriously in love with language, and we believe you will love
them in return.
