Auf der anderen Seite bieten diese Unternehmen fur Softwareanbieter eine grosse Zielgruppe, so dass die daraus erwachsenden Anforderungen in PPS-Systemen aufgegriffen werden sollten. Das PPS-System mit den Standardmodulen Grunddatenverwaltung, Primarbedarfsplanung, Material- und Zeitwirtschaft soll helfen, die Konkurrenzfahigkeit der Unternehmen durch Einsparungen und Verbesserungen im Produktionsprozess zu erhalten bzw. aufzubauen.
