During a summer not too long ago, the husband of English author Suzanne Stone took an opportunity to orate some of her poems to colleagues, friends and family. Due to the positive reaction that followed those readings, Stone was persuaded to reveal the extent of her extraordinary repertoire and as a result gained the confidence to produce this, her debut book. Burning Bright is an anthology of life experience poems coupled with individual forewords, photographic and hand drawn images. In the Foreword to the book, retired Police Captain, Douglas R. Mills previously of Charter Township of Clinton Police Department in Michigan, writes "As a people in today's world we have all experienced life's joys, sorrows, and disappointment.
