Climate change, natural disasters and agriculture are closely related from the perspective of food security. Present study has tried to show the inter dependencies between climatic factors and factors related with easy access to food in south-west region of Bangladesh. This study also tried to figure out the coastal agricultural patterns and problems with the changes of climate and increasing disaster in Bangladesh. In the study it is observed that south-western part of the country is severely affected by storms and salinity. Most of the people of the study area are related with agricultural activities for their income. Incomes of the people of the study area and related availability of food, water, shelter have been analyzed in this study. Total loss caused by the disaster, positively related with income loss and it makes disaster exposure vulnerability. Finally the study showed that frequent natural disasters are the general cause of climate change. Disasters are the cause for the reduction in income and agricultural productivity and finally reduce their food availability.

This study enhances the awareness of stakeholders about the technological development in financial institutions and its role to improve performance & growth of banking sector. This study also creates understanding about Interest Rate Spread (IRS), which is a prominent indicator of efficiency of the banking sector. IRS, in an economy, has crucial implication for the growth and development, as numerous authors suggest a critical link between efficient intermediate and economic growth. Efficient intermediation benefits the real economy by allowing higher expected return for saver and providing more opportunity by cheep investible fund. This study measures the impact of technological development along with other traditional variables on IRS. The result reveals that implementation/adoption of new technology has significant role in IRS. This study also provides guidance to the stakeholders for the improvement of banking sector in Pakistan.

Thunbergia grandiflora(Acanthaceae) has been investigated for isolation of its secondary metabolites and evaluation of biological activities of the crude extractive. One compound had been isolated, which was identified by extensive analyses of resolution NMR spectral data. The powdered leaf of T. grandiflora was extracted separately with methanol. The solid extract was then subjected to vacuum liquid chromatography (VLC). Repeated chromatographic separation and purification the leaves of Thunbergia grandiflora afforded one flavonoid named 5 hydroxy-4',6,7- trimethoxy flavone, C18H16O6. The Methanolic crude extract of Thunbergia grandiflora showed moderate analgesic activity. Out of all the samples only chloroform fraction methanolic crude extract were appeared mild potent in terms of both zone of inhibition & spectrum of activity against some gram positive, gram negative bacteria and fungi. In antidiarrhoeal test and brine shrimp lethality bioassay, hexane, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform and aqueous fractions exhibited insignificant activities whereas Carbon tetra chloride fraction showed some hypoglycemic effect at a dose of 300 mg/kg body weight compared to control group.

Investment is the key issue for economic development in any developing economy. The study makes effort to explore the impact of different factors on investment in Bangladesh. It also examines the climate which is dramatically changing over time in developing world and so, assessing the climate for investment is inevitable. In this study, we have tried to show the interdependencies between macroeconomic factors and total investment in Bangladesh and also have identified the performance of public and private sector growth for several years. It has considered the performance and activities of government and non government institutions. Government inefficiency and corruption, structural adjustment and political unrest, GDP growth, inflation, trade openness, institutional policies and facilities are the considerable factors of the study that affect investment climate positively or negatively. Finally this study shows that investment climate largely depend on economic and non economic factors though available investible fund.
