Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not
used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad
quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are
images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to
keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the
original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain
imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made

This book highlights the recent research on hybrid intelligent
systems and their various practical applications. It presents 58
selected papers from the 20th International Conference on Hybrid
Intelligent Systems (HIS 2020) and 20 papers from the 12th World
Congress on Nature and Biologically Inspired Computing (NaBIC
2020), which was held online, from December 14 to 16, 2020. A
premier conference in the field of artificial intelligence, HIS -
NaBIC 2020 brought together researchers, engineers and
practitioners whose work involves intelligent systems, network
security and their applications in industry. Including
contributions by authors from 25 countries, the book offers a
valuable reference guide for all researchers, students and
practitioners in the fields of science and engineering.
This collection reviews the latest research on dairy cattle
genetics and advanced methods of genetic evaluation and selection.
After an overview of genetic improvements achieved so far, Part 1
assesses the problem of inbreeding and genetic diversity in modern
dairy cattle as well as opportunities for crossbreeding. Part 2
then goes onto review research on targeting non-production traits
such as fertility, feed conversion efficiency and methane emissions
as well as resistance to disease and resilience to heat stress.
Part 3 then surveys the latest techniques and advances in genomic
selection (GS) in such areas as functional annotation and use of
sequence variants to improve genomic prediction, as well as
developments in genetic evaluation (GE). The final part of the book
reviews developments in embryo technologies, gene editing and the
way new techniques are being integrated in practice into dairy
breeding programmes.
The Diatessaron (c 150 - 160) is the most prominent Gospel harmony
created by Tatian, an early Christian apologist and ascetic. The
term "diatessaron" is from Middle English ("interval of a fourth")
by way of Latin, diatessaron ("made of four ingredients]"), and
ultimately Greek, diatessaron ("out of four"; i.e., dia, "according
to" and tessaron genitive of tessares], "four"). Tatian combined
the four gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John - into a single
narrative.
This book highlights recent research on intelligent systems and
nature-inspired computing. It presents 132 selected papers from the
21st International Conference on Intelligent Systems Design and
Applications (ISDA 2021), which was held online. The ISDA is a
premier conference in the field of computational intelligence, and
the latest installment brought together researchers, engineers and
practitioners whose work involves intelligent systems and their
applications in industry. Including contributions by authors from
34 countries, the book offers a valuable reference guide for all
researchers, students and practitioners in the fields of Computer
Science and Engineering.

But further, it becomes us now to seek for what we once had, but
have lost, to unite the soul with the Holy Spirit, and to strive
after union with God. The human soul consists of many parts, and is
not simple; it is composite, so as to manifest itself through the
body; for neither could it ever appear by itself without the body,
nor does the flesh rise again without the soul. Man is not, as the
croaking philosophers say, merely a rational animal, capable of
understanding and knowledge; for, according to them, even
irrational creatures appear possessed of understanding and
knowledge.
