This book constitutes the proceedings of the 7th International and Interdisciplinary Conference on Modeling and Using Context, CONTEXT 2011, held in Karlsruhe, Germany in September 2011. The 17 full papers and 7 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 54 submissions. In addition the book contains two keynote speeches and 8 poster papers. They cover cutting-edge results from the wide range of disciplines concerned with context, including the cognitive sciences (linguistics, psychology, philosophy, computer science, neuroscience), the social sciences and organization sciences, and all application areas.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 6th International and Interdisciplinary Conference on Modeling and Using Context, CONTEXT 2007, held in Roskilde, Denmark in August 2007. The 42 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 121 submissions. The papers deal with the interdisciplinary topic of modeling and using context from various points of view, ranging from computer science, especially artificial intelligence and ubiquitous computing, through cognitive science, linguistics, organizational sciences, philosophy, and psychology to application areas such as medicine and law.
This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-proceedings of the Second International Workshop on Modeling and Retrieval of Context, MRC Edinburgh 2005. The 9 revised full papers presented were carefully selected and include extended versions of some presented at the MRC 2005 workshop. A major goal of the workshop was to study, understand, and explore the handling of context in IT applications. The papers illustrate the state of the art of context modeling and elicitation as well as identification and application of context in different application scenarios.
