John Landis' raucous college comedy, set in the early Sixties, now has semi-cult status. Delta House is the fraternity that will take anyone no other club wants as a member and makes sure nothing comes in the way of their partying. The college dean (John Vernon) is desperate to close Delta House down and enlists the help of another fraternity full of sanctimonious, white, rich boys. However, Delta House's affiliates are equally determined to continue their partying and high-jinks: culminating in a showdown during the homecoming parade. John Belushi's film career took off after playing the toga-loving John 'Bulto' Bultarsky, and Donald Sutherland puts in an appearance as a free-thinking, pot-smoking professor.
A Walt Disney animated musical inspired by the Victor Hugo classic. Quasimodo, the bell ringer of Notre Dame, has been kept locked up in the cathedral since the time of his birth. Now a young man, Quasimodo ventures down into the streets for the first time and takes part in the Festival of Fools celebration. But the crowd begin to victimise him because of the way he looks, and he is only rescued by the similarly outcast Esmeralda, a beautiful gypsy dancer. Quasimodo and Esmeralda then team up to combat a government minister's sinister plans and to try and bring a little kindness to the streets of Paris.
The trials and tribulations of family life, as seen through the eyes of three generations. Gil Buckman (Steve Martin) is a father rather too determined to give his kids the love and care which had been withheld from him as a child. Meanwhile, his Yuppie brother-in-law Nathan (Rick Moranis) is preparing his 3-year-old daughter for life in the fast lane by an accelerated learning programme which causes her to miss out on the more basic joys of childhood. Gil's sister Helen (Dianne Wiest), a single parent, struggles to control her uncommunicative son and wild daughter, while black sheep of the family Larry (Tom Hulce) returns to sponge off his father Frank (Jason Robards) in order to pay off gambling debts.
