It Was What It Was is a charming and heartwarming autobiography of
life growing up in the idyllic post-war era of the South during the
1950's. Relating tales of family, love, self-sacrifice, faith, and
community, the author recounts life in small-town Lavonia, Georgia
during an era of rapid social change. From tales of wartime
sacrifice, to the Mayberry-esque quality of small town life, the
booming economic growth in the post-war era, the heyday of the
teenage social scene in the 1950s, and UFO encounters in the dark
secluded countryside, this story has something for everyone. In
relating her childhood experiences and teenage years during and
after the conclusion of World War II, and ending with her
professional contributions in public education, Mrs. Toney's life
story is overlaid and interwoven with the history of the small
southern town of Lavonia. In doing so, her story is Lavonia's
story. Beautifully written and conveyed with warmth and much humor,
this biography of times gone by is not to be missed!
Sexolution with Loveartivity presents a collection of experimental
poems inspired by real life, real people, and real sex. Author
Chichester Toney interviewed men and women in search of a balanced
perspective on the many sides of sexuality and romance. The people
he worked with are just regular people-people like you who work
hard to put food on the table, keep roofs over their heads, and
keep some heat in the bedroom. Many people live unfulfilled
lives-people who are smart, attractive, and have a lot to give, but
just aren't happy when it comes to their romantic or intimate
lives. This collection of poetry was inspired by the experiences of
Toney and his close associates. Like life, it unfolds without
structure or formal research. Fulfilling your love life and
sexuality is a lifelong opportunity. You may seek to change your
overall view and perception about sex-or not. Love and sexuality
can only be understood when aspects of self and sex, sex and
feelings, sex and intimacy, sex and religion, and sex and culture
are fully explored and integrated. This collection explores these
parameters in a subtle and poetic manner. It is a true experiment
of all the aforementioned dimensions of love and sexuality. In a
nutshell, it is love in its three dimensions: agape, eros, and
philia.

you conquer timidity and cowardice once and for all. Your life will

Toney and her husband, Guenther founded Application Word Ministries
in Germany. She is the founder of Application Word Ministries in
Ghana. She has served God's people as Bible teacher and Pastor for
over 22 years. Through the help of her co-laborers in Ghana she has
established five churches in Ghana. Joyce has taught sound doctrine
from the Bible, trained believers, and brought deliverance, to
countless souls bound by the enemy of their souls. God has used her
to bring healing to others as a result of living in a fallen world.
Joyce is the author of "The Noahide Laws: Humanity's Obligation to
God," a book that now brings deliverance to both Christians and
non-Christians. Her depth of biblical knowledge is derived from her
diligent study of the Word of God, as well as the mighty teaching
of the Holy Spirit. Her desire is to see God's people live in the
freedom of His Word and to walk worthy of the vocation to which God
has called all the saints of His Body in Christ Jesus.
Two books for the price of one The epic story is the unvarnished
truth of the life history of a rural boy of genuinely "humble"
beginning; who survived some of the most atrocious and devious
events of life struggles, including a most heinous attempt of
homicide against the lives of his entire family; but who still grew
up to become a medical doctor associated with international record
breaking fame, thus becoming one of the most illustrious and
popular icons in his country.
The Unapologetic quest for success is a read for all; however it
is the fervent wish of the author that this story will serve as an
inspiration beacon for all those youths who would share similar
life experiences to his.
The book is an emotion pack reader. Despite the authentic
nature of the story the contents of its chapters are pregnant with
the sort of excitements and mood swings that I am sure would keep
its readers glued to its pages. His poetic side complements the
story but also brings out the deeper thoughts of the author. A must
read - Ardon Nelson, poet, song writer, literary and performing
arts critic, consultant in urban planning, St. Vincent and the
Grenadines
BCR's Shelf2Life American Civil War Collection is a unique and
exciting collection of pre-1923 titles focusing on the American
Civil War and the people and events surrounding it. From memoirs
and biographies of notable military figures to firsthand accounts
of famous battles and in-depth discussions of slavery, this
collection is a remarkable opportunity for scholars and historians
to rediscover the experience and impact of the Civil War. The
volumes contained in the collection were all written within 60
years of the end of the war, which means that most authors had
living memory of it and were facing the effects of the war while
writing. These firsthand accounts allow the modern reader to more
fully understand the culture of both the Union and Confederacy, the
politics that governed the escalation and end of the war, the
personal experience of life during the Civil War, and the most
difficult and polarizing question in the history of the United
States: slavery. The American Civil War Collection allows new
readers access to the contemporary arguments and accounts
surrounding the war, and is a vital new tool in understanding this
important and pivotal chapter in American history.
