Endometrial carcinoma is one of the most common malignancies in the
female genital tract and poses serious health hazards. The gene P53
safeguards cell integrity however; a mutation in this gene
increases the lifeline of the cells which are programmed for cell
death. This particular gene participates in many human cancers
including endometrial, ovarian and tubal carcinomas. In this study
we screened exon 5 of p53 gene to find out whether this exon is a
hotspot for mutations or not. We evaluated (n=45) samples of
endometrial carcinoma and (n=45) controls from a local population.
However, we were unable to find any nucleotide alteration in exon
5. It appears, therefore, exon 5 of p53 is not a hot spot for
mutation in local population based on recent our findings.
The objective of the study is to check the impacts of leadership
roles in context to employee motivation, to determine whether
different motivational factors play any role in motivation level or
not and to determine the outcomes of motivation. The employees of
University of Gujrat (UOG) are selected as population and data was
collected using questionnaire from the sample population using
convenient sampling. On the basis of the statistical
interpretations of the data it has been determined that different
leadership roles are playing important role in the motivation level
of the UOG employees and Hertzberg's motivational factors have
significant impact on employee motivation and different
motivational factors are correlated with one and other. The study
of employee motivation is concluded that employees have motivation
level of four out of five based on the descriptive and frequency
statistics. The results of this study show that variables gender
and educational level have no significance impact on the motivation
level.
Mycotoxins can affect human health directly or indirectly (food
chain). The mycotoxin causes human illness by acting as
immunosuppressive and carcinogenic agent when ingested with
different food items. Mycoses are the best-known diseases of fungal
etiology and its toxic secondary metabolites also cause important
health hazards. Thus, it concludes that mycotoxins pose an
important risk factor to human as well as animal health. This study
will help in better understandings about effects of mycotoxins on
birds' health. The present study was designed to investigate
pathological and immunosuppressive effects of aflatoxinB1 (AFB1)
and Ochratoxin A (OTA) in broiler chicks. Study was conducted on
270 broiler chicks. After exposure of mycotoxin, kidney and liver
showed significant increase in weight. Serum alanine
aminotransferase and total serum proteins were significantly
increased and decreased, respectively. Serum urea and creatinine
were significantly increased after exposure. This all increased
their susceptibility to infections. This study suggested that AFB1
& OTA show synergistic effects in developing different
pathological changes in the body of chicks.
