Can a leopard change its spots? Will an avalanche melt in winter? Do ants run away from food? The answer is no three times over to these questions, and neither did God create humans without emotions. We express them when we're happy or sad. We're bombarded by them during life's celebrations or grievous memorials. We're never devoid of them. We don't need them We are able to manage the litany of emotions through staunchly moving forward and deliberately handing them over to God. The book is excellent in its ability to shoot straight with the reader in reference to the pitfalls we often find ourselves in emotionally, and yet the book never condemns us. This book paves the way for us to live successfully in relationship with God and people, and not waste so much time on the "whys" and "hows."
