This proven and internationally recognized text teaches the methods of engineering design as a condition of successful product development. It breaks down the design process into phases and then into distinct steps, each with its own working methods. The book provides more examples of product development; it also tightens the scientific bases of its design ideas with new solution fields in composite components, building methods, mechatronics and adaptronics. The economics of design and development are covered and electronic design process technology integrated into its methods. The book is sharply written and well-illustrated.

This book looks at the methods of transportation used in Central NY from the time before white man had an effect upon the Native Americans, through the periods of exploration, fur trading, settlement and the changes in transportation that occurred during the next 150 years. Railroads, trolleys, bicycles and boats are all part of the story. The Baldwinsville area is covered in greatest detail but much of the book relates to transportation in Central NY and parallels the development of transportation in numerous other areas of the northeast.

Bitz shares more than 40 amusing and interesting short stories of his early life on a turkey farm. He is one of very few people who have been directly involved with the changes that have occurred in commercial turkey production. He brings his insight of its early days to the reader in vividly descriptive stories of the common practices, now an almost forgotten part of the past.

This book has appeal for people with or without agricultural knowledg
