From internationally bestselling author Mary E. Pearson, The Courting of Bristol Keats is the first book in her debut adult fantasy series, filled with forbidden romance, deadly faerie curses and pulse-pounding action.
After losing both their parents, Bristol Keats and her sisters struggle to stay afloat in their small, quiet town of Bowskeep. When Bristol begins to receive letters from an 'aunt' she has never heard of, who promises to help, Bristol reluctantly agrees to meet her – and discovers that everything she thought she knew about her family is a lie. Her father might even still be alive. Not killed but kidnapped by terrifying creatures and taken to another realm – the one he is from.
Desperate to save her father and find the truth, Bristol journeys to a land of gods, fae and monsters. Pulled into a dangerous world of magic and intrigue, she makes a deadly bargain with the fae king, Tyghan. But what she does not know is that he is the one who drove her parents to live a life on the run. And he is just as determined as she is to find her father – dead or alive . . .
A heart-wrenching love story that spans worlds and decades, The Courting of Bristol Keats by Mary E. Pearson explores second chances – the ones we are denied and the ones we refuse to give – and the lines we cross that may never be forgiven.

For much of its history, human population growth increased at a
glacial pace. The demographic rate only soared about 200 years ago,
climaxing in the period 1950-2000. In that 50-year span, the
population grew more than it had in the previous 5000 years. Though
these raw numbers are impressive, they conceal the fact that the
growth rate of population topped out in the 1960s. The apparent
population boom may be approaching a population bust, despite our
coexistence with more than seven billion people. In On the Cusp,
economist Charles Pearson explores the meaning of this population
trend from the arc of demographic growth to decline. He reviews
Thomas Malthus's famous 1798 argument that human population would
exceed the earth's carrying capacity, and explains why this
surfaces periodically when birth rates strongly exceed 2.1 children
per household. Analyzing population trends through dual lenses -
demography and economics - Pearson examines the potential
opportunities and challenges of population decline and aging. In
many industrialized countries, the combination of an aging
population and considerable food security may call for policies
that boost fertility, immigration, and worker participation, reform
pension schemes, and ease concern over moderating rates of
population and economic growth. Sharp and occasionally funny,
Pearson's research has thought-provoking implications for future
public policies. Pearson ends his analysis with a mildly hopeful
conclusion, noting that both the rich and the poor face a new
demographic order. Bold and comprehensive, general readers and
students alike will find On the Cusp an informative and engaging
read.

Professor Pearson's book starts with an introduction to the area
and an explanation of the most commonly used functions. It then
moves on through differentiation, special functions, derivatives,
integrals and onto full differential equations. As with other books
in the series the emphasis is on using worked examples and
tutorial-based problem solving to gain the confidence of students.
Diego Luna directs this biographical drama based on the life and
achievements of Mexican American civil rights activist and labour
movement leader Cesar Chavez. The film shows how Chavez (Michael
Peña) went from being just another Latino American farm worker to a
passionate and respected spokesperson whose embrace of non-violent
means of protest led to the securing of a living wage for workers
like himself.

psychopaths Ray (Robert Thorne) and Billy (Jay Wisell). Before long

their paces in a number of horrific challenges as they attempt to
get their wives back. In 'The Maze' (2010), five teenagers decide
to explore a corn maze one night. Unbeknown to them, however, a
murderous lunatic lurks within the maze and is luring them to their
deaths. Will any of them make it out alive? In 'The Goatman
Murders' (2011), a group of friends on a road trip to Florida
experience some car trouble and end up in the Maryland countryside
where an axe-wielding murderer, who is half-man, half-goat, begins
to kill them one by one. Will there be any survivors?
