Named after the famous draughtsman Jean Auguste Dominique Inges
(1780-1867), this deckle-edged paper is produced on a cylinder
mould. This gives it a fine-ribbed, toothy surface which is
suitable for a wide range of dry media such as pencil, chalk, Conte
crayon, pastel and red chalk.Ingres paper is also known as 'laid
paper'. The surface of each sheet has a faintly ribbed texture,
perfect for holding graphite and soft pastel colour. This surface
is characteristic of the traditional hand-made papers of the
pre-Industrial age, which were formed in sieve-like moulds of wire
mesh which left impressions on the surface of the paper. 'Chain
lines' are thicker and widely spaced, while 'laid lines' are
thinner and closer together. This is a single sheet of Hahnemuhle
Ingres paper measuring 48x62.5cm. It has four deckle-edges and is
in the colour White.
This short cone sharpener is specially designed for use with
Stabilo Carbothello Pastel Pencils. The special blade will make
sure that your pencil is correctly sharpened and not splitting the
chalk lead. It can also be used with Faber Castell Pitt Pastel
Pencils. To find out more about sharpeners read our blog post on
them by clicking here.Measurements: 2.75 cm x 1.75 cm x 1.5 cm.

Pitt artists' pastel pencils, with their oil-free pastel leads, are
used by artists not only as the perfect complement to pastel
crayons for elaborating fine details, but also on their own. Many
artists who enjoy pastel techniques and their versatility, but not
the dirty hands and coloured dust that accompany them, have opted
to use these special pencils. Pitt pastel pencils have a very
compact lead which is economical to use. The lead contains a high
level of pigment, making the pencils ideally suited both to drawing
lines and shading, as well as blending and merging into delicate
colour transitions. The colour selection in this range places a
particular emphasis on the muted shades and earth tones that are
especially important for pastel drawing.

The colours have excellent lightfastness and are fully erasable. Each pan contains 40%* more material than the average pastel stick, and yields approx. 4-5 times more coverage than sticks.
PanPastel Colours are fully compatible with:
Pastel sticks, pencils, markers.
Other artist's colours and mediums for mixed media techniques.
Most art & craft surfaces (from delicate handmade papers to toothy pastel surfaces).

The Sennelier oil pastel is a product that makes use of the components used in all Sennelier colours: top quality pigments, an extremely pure synthetic binding medium and mineral wax. The pigments are ground with an inert, non-siccative binding medium that does not oxidise and that has no effect upon either film stability or surface. This base is then mixed with wax (neutral pH). The balance of this mix provides Sennelier oil pastels with a unique unctuousness and a creamy texture that allows for a great deal of freedom in pictorial expression.
The Sennelier oil pastels possess an extraordinarily high pigment content, thus providing them with a high colouring and covering potential, excellent brightness and a high degree of light stability (with the exception of metallic and fluorescent shades).
The remarkable properties of these components, along with their precise dosage, provide Sennelier oil pastels with unique properties, making the brand a world-recognised reference.
All tones are made up of delicate shade gradients, tending towards white.Their comfortable handling and large contact surface allow large areas to be covered with a high degree of regularity.

il-based pastel crayons offer wonderful opportunities of applying both extremely intense, strong colours and delicate pastel tones. Due to their high luminosity, the crayons are ideal for encaustic as well as various pastel and scraping techniques. Depending on the desired artistic effect, you can use your finger to wipe them or blend them with a paintbrush and turpentine (or white spirit).
