Diane Townsend Artists' Pastels are hand made soft pastels for artists. Diane began making them in 1971 with a 15th century Italian formula, translated by a conservationist she shared a studio with. The formula has been refined over the last 45 years to create a smooth, flowing pastel that is as rich in pigment as possible. Soft Form pastels are designed to fit comfortably in the hand and with easel painting in mind. They are easy to apply and use as you work.

The soft form palette contains both classical artists' colours and a vivid range of modern pigments such as naphthol red and the fluorescent pigments.
