The cast also includes Ralph Fiennes, Christoph Waltz and Ben Whishaw.
Timothy Dalton plays James Bond for the first time, leaving behind the high camp of the Roger Moore years for a relatively straight reading of the famous secret agent. The action this time sees Bond running around various exotic spots (Gibraltar, Afghanistan) in pursuit of a couple of seedy dealers in arms, drugs and diamonds. There is as much action and gadgetry as ever, but a slightly less tongue-in-cheek script keeps 007's romantic liaisons down to a minimum. Caroline Bliss makes her debut as Miss Moneypenny.
The 13th Bond adventure, again starring Roger Moore, places 007 up against the glamorous Octopussy (Maud Adams) and a bunch of evil Soviets who have plans to plunder Tsarist treasures and create a nuclear explosion in a German NATO base. However, a certain chain of events causes him to relive the nightmares which disfigured him, leading him and his assistant to discover that his old enemy, Robert G. Durant (Larry Drake), is not dead as thought, but very much alive and kicking. 'Darkman 3 - Die Darkman Die' (1995) is the final outing for Dr Peyton Westlake (Vosloo), alias Darkman, who this time round does battle with a drugs baron (Jeff Fahey). This villain wants to obtain the secret of Westlake's superhuman strength, and Westlake is thus plunged into a game of survival.
Martial art expert Kurt Sloane (Jean-Claude van Damme) learns some unorthodox fighting techniques in preparation for a deadly competition in Thailand, where he hopes to avenge his brother who was paralysed in a previous match.
Collection of futuristic sci-fi action features directed by Albert Pyun. In 'Nemesis' (1992), set in 21st-century Los Angeles, a disillusioned cyborg police officer (Olivier Gruner) is forced out of retirement to bring his former partner Jared (Marjorie Monaghan) to justice after she begins stealing highly-sensitive security information. Alex is tasked with recovering stolen data relating to an upcoming international summit which Jared plans to sell to a terrorist group known as the Red Army Hammerheads, who are plotting to kill government officials. But in his pursuit of justice, Alex begins to question the conflicting loyalties he experiences between his employer, former lover and the supposed terrorist organisation. In 'Nemesis 2 - Nebula' (1995), set 73 years after the events of the first film, cyborgs are now ruling the world and have enslaved the human race. The only hope offered to them is through a team of scientists who claim to have invented a super strain of DNA which will produce a mutant human so powerful it can destroy all robots. However, when the cyborgs discover this threat to their power, they enlist bounty hunter Nebula (Chad Stahelski) to eliminate it. In 'Nemesis 3 - Time Lapse' (1996), Alex (Sue Price) wakes up with amnesia and has to piece together her fractured memories, including the rescue attempt of her sister who has travelled back in time to save her. Finally, In 'Nemesis 4 - Death Angel' (1996), Alex is working as an assassin when she mistakenly kills the son of a major crime boss and is forced to fight for her life after her employer Bernardo (Andrew Divoff) places a 100 million dollar bounty on her head.

Takashi Miike directs this larger-than-life samurai adventure set in mid-19th century Japan. Koji Yakusho stars as respected samurai warrior Shinzaemon Shimada, who gathers together 13 skilled assassins to bring down the evil Lord Naritsugu (Goro Inagaki), a merciless killer who gets his kicks from brutally murdering women and children. The film ends with a 45-minute battle sequence in which the 13 assassins take on an army of 200 men, dispensing with them in a profusion of inventive and surprising ways.
