Starting English covers all the key literacy skills for
schoolchildren aged 5+, with fun, wipe-clean exercises
This title features 48 copymasters to learn correct letter
formation from the start. The first 26 copymasters practise
components of letters within scenes. The remainder provide hollow
letters large enough for 'rainbow writing', handwriting verses, and
rows for practising the full letter strokes. Size of 48 copymasters
is A4/8.3"x11.7".
The second book of the Left Hand Writing Skills series, containing
a further 28 worksheets, begins with revision of the essential
letter formation exercises in Book 1. The following worksheets
focus on the flow of letters into word formation. Through extensive
practice with patterns, different forms of letter-joining and full
word formation, the left-handed writer should have begun to
establish the fundamental good habits of hold, position and control
which handwriting requires. The antics of Pencil Pat and his gang
keep up the level of enjoyment and satisfaction as the child works
through these exercises.
These large flashcards can be wiped clean so there are no mistakes
- just perfect handwriting skills! With Letterland there are
in-built clues to help your child remember how to form letter
shapes. Use the free app on your mobile or tablet for an
interactive experience. Scan the cards to reveal 52 handwriting
animations and a game for each letter of the alphabet.
These useful workbooks provide consolidation and practice of
handwriting skills, starting with correct letter formation and
progressing to joining whole words in sentences.
This Handwriting Practice Book from CGP is a brilliant way for
Reception pupils (ages 4-5) to learn and practise the skills they
need to write neatly. It starts off with lines and shapes for them
to trace to get them used to controlling a pencil, before moving
onto tracing letters and numbers. There's plenty of practice for
letters a-z, including within words, and the numbers 0-9 are
covered too. There are also lots of pictures to colour in along the
way, and a page of tips for pupils and helpers.

of cognitive, physical and perceptual skills. As development can
vary greatly from child to child, Schofield & Sims WriteWell
splits learning into manageable modules, offering you the
flexibility to select the appropriate book for your child's needs.
Young writers can then move through the programme at their own pace

approach that ensures a confident foundation for every child. Each
pupil book contains 15 units, together with a child-friendly
introduction and at least one longer `WriteWell challenge' task
giving pupils the opportunity to use their best handwriting to
`show off' everything they have learnt. Each of these units
provides a clear handwriting focus, explained in the information
panel at the beginning of each spread, followed by focused practise
activities that gradually increase in difficulty, progressing from
simple `Try it' and `Practise it' exercises involving tracing and
copying, to more challenging `Apply it' activities that encourage
children to use the handwriting focus in a realistic context. In
WriteWell 5: Letter Size and Position, handwriting lines are used

space writing on the baseline. A separate accompanying teacher's
