2014 Reprint of 1920s Edition. Full facsimile of the original edition. Undated short pamphlet by Carey printed in the 1920s. George Washington Carey (1845-1924) was an American physician known for his 'chemistry of life' publications, a subject which he referred to as biochemistry. Carey combined a mixture of religion, astrology, physiology, anatomy, and chemistry, themed particularly with a mineral-based theory of human disease to explain his views on human chemistry. He continues to be popular within new-age and homeopathic circles. In the context of a person viewed as a "human molecule," Carey was the first to state that a person's body is a "chemical formula in operation." This very short essay is a statement of the principles of his philosophy of the cell salts.

Long out of print and hard to find, this is the most celebrated book on eclipses of the last seventy years. In this book, learn the unique astronomical factors that create eclipses and why some eclipses are total while others are not. Learn how the Chaldeans discovered the Saros cycle in the sixth century BC, which is still in use today. Learn how the Greeks discovered the Metonic cycle. Find out how the Saros cycle is used in forecasting the effects of eclipses. Jansky gives the astrological key for all 19 of the Saros series. The author uses his understanding of eclipse mechanics in analysis. He uses the twelve houses of the chart, planets conjunct and opposed, the Saros series, fixed stars conjunct the eclipse as well as stars rising or setting on the horizon (ascendant/descendant), the planetary ruler, and the path of the Moon's shadow (the umbra) as it races across the earth during the eclipse itself. Jansky's interpretation of eclipses is rooted in Transactional Analysis (what I do to you becomes what you do to me, etc.), which, astrologically, is the study of polarities, which is what lunar and solar eclipses literally represent, and how these polarities, expressed as opposing signs and houses, can be resolved in terms of human relationships. Jansky delves into the astrological duration of an eclipse, prenatal eclipses, eclipses in rectification and eclipses and health. For case studies he tells of an eclipse-driven corporate crisis at his employer and how it impacted him, his fellow employees, and the management. In the data section, solar eclipses for the 20th century: Date, degree of the zodiac, total, partial or annular, and the Saros number. Also, longitudes of major fixed stars and general and medical bibliographies. A comprehensive book on eclipses. A must-have.

2013 Reprint of 1932 Edition. Exact facsimile of the original edition, not reproduced with Optical Recognition Software. Color reproduction of Frontispiece. George Washington Carey (1845-1924) was an American physician known for a number of 1910s 'Chemistry of Life' publications, a subject which he referred to as biochemistry, particularly his 1919 "The Chemistry of Human Life." Carey combined a mixture of religion, astrology, physiology, anatomy, and chemistry, themed particularly with a mineral-based theory of human disease, to develop his theories. Carey is popular among the new-age and homeopathic circles. In the context of a person viewed as a "human molecule," Carey was the first to state that a person's body is a "chemical formula in operation." This title is divided into two parts. Part 1 is entitled the "Relation of the Mineral Salts of the Body to the Signs of the Zodiac," while Part 2 is an "Esoteric Analysis and Synthesis of the Zodiacal Signs and their Physiochemical Allocations." With the renewed interest in homeopathy, increased study of astrology and the entrance of the Aquarian Age, this book has gained more importance. It is an attempt to answer all the questions regarding the cell salts. Part 1 is a brief and concise outline of the 12 signs of the zodiac, their symbolism and the salts to be used to overcome any disease. Part 2 enlarges on Part 1 by discussing the physiochemical analysis, symbolism and actual use of each mineral salt.
This is one of the most sophisticated medical astrology books ever written. Many of the finer points are dealt with. You know the head is ruled by Aries, but did you know the nasal bones are co-ruled by Scorpio? There are references to Vedic principles. A helpful diagram explains the subtle division of the urinary tract between Libra and Scorpio. Rulerships are given not only for areas of the body and its organs, but also for bones, muscles, arteries and veins. Terminology in the book is modern. Gemini's rulership of muscles includes the deltoid, biceps, supinator radii, subclavians, triceps, serratus anticus minor, pectoralis, palmaris, etc. Many chapters are unique, such as Chapter 5, on crystallization, and Chapter 6, on tonicity, atonicity, and perversion. This chapter also tells how pairs of planets mirror each other: Sun/Moon, Mars/Saturn, Jupiter/Venus, Uranus/Neptune, with Mercury as a receiver. Chapter 11 concerns many different kinds of planetary strengths, among them, aspect strength, mundane strength, natural strength (the planet in its natal sign) and directional strength. Chapter 13 gives astrological indicators for some specific diseases, a foretaste of what Charles Carter would expand upon in his famous Encyclopaedia of Psychological Astrology. This book was originally published as Alan Leo's Astrological Manual No. 9 in 1908. This is the second edition of 1914. There are references in this book to other books in the Alan Leo series, dealing with chart construction. This book is highly recommended by H.L. Cornell in his Encyclopaedia of Medical Astrology. Heinrich Daath's Medical Astrology is part of a comprehensive series of classic astro-medical texts published by Astrology Classics. Other books in the series include: - Joseph Blagrave: Astrological Practice of Physick, 1671 C.E.O. Carter: An Encyclopaedia of Psychological Astrology, 1954 H.L. Cornell: Encyclopaedia of Medical Astrology, 1933 Nicholas Culpeper: Astrological Judgement of Diseases from the Decumbiture of the Sick, 1655, and, Urinalia, 1658 Richard Saunders: The Astrological Judgement and Practice of Physick, 1677 Luke Broughton: The Elements of Astrology, 1898

Over a decade of dedicated research Over a year of writing and editing With the blessings and guidance of a swami, a babaji, and a Sanskrit scholar, Vic DiCara presents you the world's most definitive, simple and completely awesome explanation of the mythology and meaning within the 27 stars of ancient Indian astrology If you are an astrologer or a fan of astrology, you will be transformed by Vic's radically clear and straightforward explanations of Sanskrit, Vedic mythology, and mastery of intuitive symbolism. If you are a lover of India and her culture, you will delight in these deep revelations and rare expositions of familiar gods like Vishnu, not-so-familiar gods like Varuna, and nearly forgotten gods like Ajaikapat. If you are a spiritual seeker, you will discover the origin of the universe, the meaning of life, and essential clues in the eternal quest for the "fountain of youth." "The 160 pages of this book are abundantly replete with exact references and footnotes to satisfy the scholars among you. The book is dripping with dramatic storytelling, filled with philosophy as clear and deep as a Himalayan lake, and precisely presents the perfectly useful astrological symbolism of the divine stars." * * "If there is anything Vedic and spiritual about Hindu astrology, then this is the book that can teach us about it. Vic leads us into the wonderful depths of Vedic wisdom by relating the myths connected with each of the 27 lunar mansions and their deities. Using this approach, this book goes considerably deeper than other Jyotish textbooks I have seen. Warmly recommended, even to non-astrologers Can we hope for follow-up book about the Hindu planetary deities?" - Dieter Koch, Indologist and Archaeoastronomer Co-creator of the Swiss Ephemeris "Vic DiCara's exploration and definitive research on the lunar mansions brings the primordial zodiac alive with the rich symbolism and sacred stories of Indian lore. We often forget that the basis of Vedic astrology will always be the mystical mythology associated with Jyotish, the science of light. Mr. DiCara's brilliant text illuminates our path home to the divine through his deep understanding and the blessings of the gods and goddesses of ancient India" - Dennis M. Harness, Ph.D. Psychologist, Writer and Vedic Astrologer "27 Stars, 27 Gods is a fantastically deep book about the fixed stars of Vedic astrology. It is well written and well researched, and is a clear and enjoyable read I highly recommend it for everyone from astrologers to yogis and everyone in between." - Juliana Swanson, RN ACVA Teacher, Jyotish Visharada & Kovid More than a journey through the outer universe of astrological stars, 27 Stars 27 Gods is a journey through the driving forces of the subconscious inner universe. By helping us identify these influences Vic DiCara helps us understand ourselves better and progress more smoothly on our life's journey. 27 Stars 27 Gods can be a reference book in the hands of an experienced astrologer, but it is also a self improvement tool for any reader interested in exploring life in depth. It presents symbols, mythology, ancient storytelling and divine lila in language that immediately catches one's interest and speaks to us like a friend - never prescriptive, but always revealing our opportunities. Let me congratulate Vic on this unique book. Unlike most books in the spiritual market, this is not at all a copy of a copy of a copy. It is an outstanding new addition to our knowledge, written with an inspired pen of intensity and wit. - Sripad Sacinandana Swami Vaishnava Guru & Sanyassi

A person whose life drifts away from the 'blueprint' of his or her birthchart grows dull, flat and depressed. It is the same for a couple -- if their life together departs from the spirit of their composite chart, their relationship runs out of gas. They stop talking. Sex evaporates. They would rather watch TV than look into each others' eyes. In this book the Forrests give you all the tools you need to explore this powerful astrological technique -- theory, real-life practical examples, and an extensive 'cookbook' section where you can jump-start your interpretations by looking up the precise meaning of any configuration. In the first volume of 'Skymates' they showed us how to compare charts. Now , they take it a step further, proving that the whole is always greater than the sum of the parts.
Finally, a useful handbook on eclipse effects through the zodiac signs for everyone Eclipses create "surges" and "outages" of solar-lunar tides with numerous influences described for the reader's personal sign, (and globally too). Includes a brief technical astronomical section and a useful eclipse calendar through 2023. Strategies and traditional techniques are included for making the best use of eclipse "waves." Also includes eclipse conjunctions for all planets, and a useful advanced section for readers in the back. This book is perfect for both lay and advanced readers. This volume brings the secret knowledge of the past alive with Hill's modern, pragmatic twist. This is the most thorough book ever written on the subject
For centuries, the Tong Shu (Chinese Almanac) has been used as the definitive guide for selecting good dates for important activities. Often, no important activity would be undertaken without first glancing at the Tong Shu to determine an auspicious day for it, or at the very least, to ensure that it was not being done on a bad day. Date selection ensures the success and effectiveness of a particular activity or endeavour. The 2013 Tong Shu Calendar is adapted from Joey Yap's Annual Tong Shu Diary. The highlights of this easy-to-use calendar: Daily Guide to Suitable and Unsuitable Activities for 2013; Guide to Feng Shui Afflictions and Influences for 2013; Monthly Astrology Guide for all 12 Animal Signs; Monthly Flying Stars Feng Shui Guide; Daily Flying Stars Feng Shui; All-in-One Chinese Solar, Lunar and Western Gregorian Calendar for 2013.
Horary astrology is a fascinating and exacting technique, and here is the perfect book to hone your skills. Author Petros Eleftheriadis presents over fifty valid charts taken from his client files which demonstrate, in clear steps, how to reach an answer. He stresses the importance of starting with the correct question; for instance, he doesn't accept 'Should I?' questions, saying 'Astrology charts cannot possibly show something that will NEVER materialize, something that will never become reality, so they cannot show how your life would be, had you made another decision.' So rather than asking whether you will win the lottery if you buy a ticket, the correct action would be to buy the ticket and then ask if you will win. Ideal for students and professionals with some knowledge of horary astrology.
This is the new and expanded version of Day-Signs, originally published in 1991. In this edition there are some content and organizational changes in the introductory chapters, the listings of people born under each of the day-signs has been expanded, and the day-sign look-up tables now go to 2029. The original delineations of the 20 day-signs remain at the heart of the book, and these have been updated to include the author's latest insights. They are the first ever to be described in psychological terms, and the only ones produced by the analysis of over 400 examples. For those interested in astrology, it may come as a surprise to learn that the Maya and Aztecs of ancient Mexico and Central America had developed a comprehensive system of signs and cycles, very little of which has survived in the indigenous population to the present day. Tantalizing pieces of this astrological system do exist but there are many parts missing. One thing is known, however, and that is the central role of the 20 named days called day-signs. It is the reconstruction and reinterpretation of these symbolic images that is the subject of this book. The 20 day-signs are like a zodiac - a cycle of development that moves through various stages from origin to completion. Each of the day-signs has distinct qualities and as the 20 signs cycle through the calendar dates, they move with a secondary cycle of 13 numbers that deepen meanings. Finally, after 13 cycles of the 20 day-signs and 20 cycles of the 13 numbers, the larger cycle, called the Tzolkin by the Maya and Tonalpouhalli by the Aztecs, begins again. This 260-day cycle is at the core of the ancient astrology of the Americas and an understanding of it is a prerequisite to comprehending the other components of the system. Here, in this book, is a modern interpretation of each of the signs, translated from an ancient mindset into the shared reality of the present. Even though the rediscovery of ancient native American astrology is far from complete, readers will be fascinated that significant variations in personality, discovered in a strange culture a long time ago, are just as relevant today.

Detectives and CSI crews may work for weeks, months, sometimes years searching and piecing together forensic evidence to find the vital clues in solving a crime. With the use of planetary positions, houses, fixed stars and Arabic parts, forensic astrology gives investigators a head-start in discovering valuable information that can hasten crime solving. In "Forensics by the Stars," author B. D. Salerno, an astrologer for more than twenty years, provides insight into the fascinating world of solving crimes and understanding both natural and manmade disasters by applying astrological science to interpreting event charts and revealing the clues they contain. Providing interesting insights, "Forensics by the Stars" analyzes the murder of Marilyn Monroe, the Lindbergh kidnapping, several missing persons cases, and a number of natural and manmade disasters. Salerno explains how to interpret the event horoscopes and astrologic charts to help understand the outcome of certain events. Like threads of carpeting, blood spatter, or fingerprints, forensic astrology can reveal an astonishing amount of detail about an event.
Many spiritual traditions single out as critical the epoch we are living in right now. The ancient prophets of India and Mesoamerica no less than our own contemporary scientists have identified these times as a tipping point. In this extraordinary collection of essays, Jessica Murray uses the symbolism of Western astrology to throw this daunting world moment into perspective. At the Crossroads pulls no punches in its discussion of the global realities that make our era so intense, elucidating the role we play as individuals. As she uncovers the deeper meaning of world-altering events, Murray shows how even the most daunting in them can be used to inspire the unique genius in every one of us.
