Back in print In a fine new paperback edition, this is the best of
the many astro-reference books, one you will use constantly. Among
thousands of entries are the complete terminologies for natal,
mundane, electional & horary astrologies, as well as definitive
articles on Arabian Parts, Aspects, Calendars, Cycles, Degrees,
Dignities, Directions, Eclipses, Houses, Planets, Ptolemaic
Astrology, Retrogrades, Ruling signs of major cities, Signs of the
Zodiac, the Solar System, and much more. The section on eclipses
runs 36 pages & includes solar & lunar eclipses from
1800-2000 listed by date & by zodiacal degree. It includes the
19 Saros cycles from 600 AD to 2100 AD. Under Degrees, deVore gives
degree meanings similar to those of Carter. In the extensive entry
on Houses, he gives the meanings for each house, in natal, mundane
& (depending on the house) various other situations: In a court
of law, in an organization, in an ingress, in a national figure,
etc. The entry for the Invariable Plane (one of several
contributions by Charles Harvey) is a fascinating discussion of
(among other things) Mahayuga, Root Races & solar eclipses in
ancient Palestine. There is a fine, 9 page analysis of Ptolemaic
astrology, along with how the Galactic Center relates to the Solar
System, as well as definitive entries on every other facet of
astrology. Complete, concise, informative, highly intelligent: Long
a classic, still essential for all astrologers. Nicholas de Vore,
1882-1960, was President of the New York based Astrological
Research Society.
The first in-depth analysis of how an individual's natal
horoscope reveals the unique challenges and opportunities of
midlife.
Between the ages of thirty-seven and forty-one, something
mysterious takes place within the psyche. Jung called this phase
our "unlived life," assuming rightly that midlife did not
inaugurate a time of rapid decay, loss of libido, and inevitable
death--but rather ushered in a period in which one might review
one's life and build upon a strong foundation toward the next phase
of adulthood.
Acclaimed astrologer Erin Sullivan takes us through the vast
changes that astrology reveals as we reach middle age. It is a
moment in life that is characterized by the planet Uranus, one
filled with opportunities to both rethink the past and move forward
toward the future, "witnessing" our lives in the way Uranus
connotes. There exist no maps of the terrain--except the natal
horoscope.
Harmonic Anthology is an exceptional addition volume that explores
the principles of harmonics, a concept in which the author was a
pioneer. In addition to redefining the basis of astrology, the
author shares the results of significant research that includes:
Charts of delinquents Michel Gauquelin's revolutionary findings
Astrology and genetics Astrological indicators of doctors Father's
Moon position as it relates to children Hindu astrology Degree
areas
Each of the 360 degrees of the Zodiac has its own unique symbol and
meaning. These symbols are often applied to the degrees of the
Ascendant, Sun, Moon, and ruling planet of the natal horoscope.
This book, comprising two complete sets, was first published in
1898 and has long been ranked as among the finest on the subject.
Charubel (1826-1908) was the pseudonym of John Thomas, a Welsh
clairvoyant, astrologer and healer. As a young man he studied for
the ministry, but when forced to choose between religious life and
his psychic abilities, he chose the later. He founded (and later
dissolved) an occult order. He also published numerous books and
was editor of several periodicals. His Degrees of the Zodiac
Symbolized was first published in 1893. Sepharial (1864-1929) was
known to friends as Walter Gorn Old. His early days were as a
Theosophist. Leaving them, he associated for a time with Alan Leo's
gang and wrote numerous books on astrology. An astrologer,
clairvoyant and occultist, towards the end of his life he became a
charismatic Christian. He had a lifelong interest in horse racing.
His translation of La Volasfera was first published in 1898.
1925. Being the Bona Fides of Astrology as Antecedent to its
Application and Practice, Its Principia Fully Elucidated and the
True Foundation of the Doctrine Rationalized. Hazelrigg was the
founder and president of the American Society of Astrologians. A
study guide on the Fundamentals of Hermetic Science, Hazelrigg
explains that Hermeticism may be defined as that system of
philosophy or mentalism that treats of the Doctrine of
Correspondences, by which the identities and co-relationships of
principles throughout all departments of Being are tested and made
explicable. Drawings by the author. See other books by this author

In 1647, William Lilly, renowned throughout England, sat down to
write his famous book on astrology. He was ill, but he had foreseen
that. He had decided that rather than struggle with clients while
sick, he would give himself a year to study, reflect, and write.
But before he was quite finished with his book, plague swept
through London, killing two of his servants, and forcing Lilly and
family to flee to the countryside. This is Book Three, An Easie and
plaine Method Teaching How to judge upon Nativities, the conclusion
of his great work, Christian Astrology. In this astounding book,
Lilly gives not only his own hard-won knowledge of natal astrology,
but also what he gleaned from close study of the greatest
astrologers in history, as found in his own astrological library,
one of the largest of its day. In this book you may learn: . How to
determine the Hyleg, or Apheta, the Prorogator of Life. . How to
determine intelligence, stature, shape and complexion of the
native. . If the native will be rich, and, if so, whether by fair
means or foul. . The illnesses he may suffer, if he may die a
violent death. . Of Marriage: The number and kinds of spouses,
where they may come from, if there will be children or not, and if
so, an idea of their number. . The kind of career best suited to
the native, and much more. In the section on Directions and
Forecasting, Lilly gives comprehensive interpretations for Primary
Directions, Solar Returns and Profections. The book concludes with
a priceless analysis of the Nativity of an English Merchant,
including more than twenty years of forecasts, up to the time that
Lilly judged to be the end of the man's natural life. For the first
time, unique to thisedition: Spelling and verbs modernized.
Glossary of obscure terms, including Latin words and phrases.
Calculations in modern format. All 24 solar returns and all 12
profection charts in standard wheel format. Fixed star positions
updated to 1 January 2005. Modern symbols for aspects (including
minor aspects) used throughout. Primaries untangled, as much as
possible. Available separately: Christian Astrology, (books 1 &
2): An Introduction to Astrology, The Resolution of All Manner of
Questions, by William Lilly.
Don't Panic! This workbook is designed to help you to overcome your
fears about astrology math. If you didn't have at least some fears
about learning how to calculate charts by hand, you wouldn't be
reading this book. This is nothing to be ashamed of. Unless you
have kids in high school, the last time you were presented with an
algebra problem was probably when you were in high school. And face
it: you probably hated it then, too. This will be much easier for
you than it was in high school. For one thing, you're allowed (and
even expected) to use a calculator here. Math is, in fact, your
friend. Granted, it's the kind of friend that wakes you up in the
middle of the night, raids your refrigerator and then passes out on
your living room floor, but it's still your friend. And if you're
serious about learning astrology, you do have to be able to do the
math-or at the very least understand how the math is done. This
workbook will teach you all of the astrology math you will ever
need.

An American Textbook of Genethliacal Astrology.
Reinhold Ebertin's first edition of this book was revised and
updated in 1974 and contains a treasure of information on
comparative charts for marriage. This detailed textbook presents
numerous examples of the relationship between the cosmos, man and
marital compatibility. Keys are given on how to recognize whether a
cosmic marriage will develop harmoniously or not. Rules of
comparative analysis and significant aspects include the Ascendant,
Midheaven and Moon's Node. Most of the examples are given using the
traditional delineation of chart connections, however midpoints and
the use of Ebertin's 90 degree wheel in Cosmobiology are given as
well.

When Jeffrey Wolf Green retired and went into seclusion he left his
daughter Deva with everything that he had ever written which
included drafts of various manuscripts which he had intended to
publish at various points. This also included every audio tape,
video, dvd, and transcript of his lectures delivered over a lengthy
career. He also gave Deva his business and asked her to carry on
with it. This book reflects her desire to continue to disseminate
his work as widely as possible. In Essays on Evolutionary
Astrology: The Evolutionary Journey of The Soul there is a
combination of transcribed lectures with parts of various
manuscripts, most of which has never been in print before.

Spica Award: International Book of the Year, 2001. The astrology
that is ubiquitous today is quite different from astrology as
practised throughout almost all of its long history. The dilute and
distorted version with which we are so familiar is not the study
that has fascinated so many of the finest minds in our culture with
its intellectual depth and practical precision. John Frawley
provides a searching - and often hilarious - critique of modern
astrology, and a detailed introduction to all the main branches of
the traditional craft. Accessible to those with no prior knowledge
of the subject, yet sufficiently through to serve as a vade mecum
for the student or practitioner.
