Spica Award: International Book of the Year, 2001. The astrology
that is ubiquitous today is quite different from astrology as
practised throughout almost all of its long history. The dilute and
distorted version with which we are so familiar is not the study
that has fascinated so many of the finest minds in our culture with
its intellectual depth and practical precision. John Frawley
provides a searching - and often hilarious - critique of modern
astrology, and a detailed introduction to all the main branches of
the traditional craft. Accessible to those with no prior knowledge
of the subject, yet sufficiently through to serve as a vade mecum
for the student or practitioner.
With her expertise and experience of both traditional horary rules
and contemporary medical and psychological counseling, Sellar shows

ourselves, from our strengths and career inclinations to our
deepest fears and insecurities. Viewing that knowledge from a
healing perspective, Donna Taylor gives clear and practical

factors that can create disease: energy imbalances or blockages,
frustrated needs and self-limiting attitudes. She looks at how to
interpret the factors influencing each individual. Then she shows
us clearly and simply how to apply our new-found knowledge in order

Harmonic Astrology in Practice takes off where David Hamblin's
previous book, The Spirit of Numbers: A New Exploration of Harmonic
Astrology comes to a close. The practical advantage of harmonic
astrology is that it offers a far richer and more complete insight
into the interrelationship of planetary forces than is possible
through using the traditional aspects - opposition, trine, square,
etc. All of those are based on divisions of the circle by Two,
Three, or multiples of Two and Three, but in harmonic astrology we
can also study aspects that are based on Five, Seven, or any other
number. Using copious case histories which include Amy Winehouse,
Whitney Houston, Malala Yousafzai, Leonard Cohen, Winston
Churchill, Hermann Hesse, Amma, Rolf Harris, and many, many more,
David Hamblin unlocks secrets of the charts which might otherwise
remain hidden. A fascinating and impressive study.
An innovative investigation of planetary energies Saturn through

behaviour and experience creating an in-depth blend of Astrology
and Psychology. Doris Hebel, a leading Astrological consultant and
lecturer, has a unique eclectic approach which synthesises the
philosophies of classical Astrology with contemporary innovative
modern systems. Her focus encourages a deepened understanding of
how to use Astrology in the process of discovering inner blocks and
potential, and what paths we can take to best actualise our lives.

remedial techniques and suggestions, designed to assist the reader

A German Stargazer's Book of Astrology is the first English
translation of Astronomia Teutsch Astronomei, published in 1545 in
Frankfurt am Main. The original work was one of the earliest
astrological textbooks in the vernacular, predating William Lilly's
famous English primer Christian Astrology by over a decade. With
this translation, Peter Stockinger offers the English reader an
exciting insight into the working methods of a 16th century
astrologer living on the cusp of the Late Medieval and Early Modern
periods. The book contains a detailed introduction by the
translator, providing valuable background information and
historical context, and is comprehensively annotated throughout.
The translation contains, amongst many others, the following
chapters: -Of the Twelve Signs their Stars and Effects -Of Pictures
of the Heavenly Bodies (Constellations) -Of the Fixed Stars and
their Qualities -Of the Seven Planets -Of Eclipses and Comets
(Mundane astrology) -Of the Four Seasons (Weather astrology)
-Claudius Ptolemy's Perpetual Calendar
'Patterns of the Past' is the long-awaited revised and updated
version of 'The Karmic Journey' which was published in 1991 by
Penguin Arkana. Judy Hall is known across the world for her work
with past lives and reincarnation, including Hands Across Time
(Findhorn Press), Deja Who (Findhorn Press) and Principles of Past
Life Therapy (Thorsons). In the thirteen years since she wrote
Karmic Journey the public have become more knowledgeable and more
inquisitive about the affects previous lives could be having on
them now -- this updated version will be welcomed by everyone who
is interested in freeing themselves from the patterns of the past.
There is very little written on the most contentious area of
astrology, and this greatly updated and revised edition more than
adequately fills the gap.
