Eight-volume collection of animations based on the Marvel Comics characters. Thomas) to join S.W.O.R.D., an agency which fights terrorism and threats from extraterrestrial beings, Jessica Drew uses her powers to find and destroy shape-shifting aliens known as the Skrulls. In 'Blank Panther', African King T'Challa aka the Black Panther (Djimon Hounsou) defends his nation from invasion. After his father King T'Chaka (Jonathan Adams) is killed at the hands of the villainous Ulysses Klaw (Stephen Stanton), T'Challa becomes the new ruler of his country Wakanda, home to the valuable mineral vibranium. Klaw assembles an almighty army with which to invade Wakanda, meaning the Black Panther will have to push his powers to the limit if he is to save his country and people from harm. 'Thor and Loki: Blood Brothers' follows the villainous Loki (David Blair) and his superhero adoptive brother Thor (Daniel Thorn). After becoming the new king of the mystical realm Asgard, Loki is soon faced with the reality of ruling over his land. Told from Loki's point of view, the story explores how he and his brother became enemies.

Martin Scorsese makes his first foray into children's cinema with this semi-fantastical drama based on a book by Brian Selznick. Asa Butterfield stars as Hugo, an orphan who lives in the hidden nooks of a train station in 1920s Paris. With the help of his friend, Isabelle (Chloë Moretz), he sets out to solve a mystery left behind by his late father (Jude Law): a curious puzzle involving a heart-shaped key, a cranky toy shop owner (Ben Kingsley) and a broken automaton. Along the way, the tangled lives of the staff and passengers at the station provide numerous colourful detours, and Scorsese pays homage to early pioneers of cinema including the Lumiere brothers and Georges Méliès. The film was nominated for eleven Oscars and won five awards including Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effects.

In 'Ice Age' (2002), the story begins at the dawn of the great ice age, when a group of three animals embark upon an epic journey. Sid the sloth, Manfred the mammal, and Diego the sabre-toothed tiger team up to help return a human baby to its father, and must risk life and limb as they traverse boiling lava pits and travel through dangerous ice caves to complete their mission. Along the way they also meet Scrat, a squirrel-rat determined to plant an acorn in a glacier. The film features the voices of John Leguizamo, Denis Leary and Jack Black. In 'Ice Age 2 - The Meltdown' (2006), Manny the woolly mammoth (voice of Ray Romano), Sid the sloth (Leguizamo), Diego the saber-toothed tiger (Leary), and the hapless prehistoric squirrel/rat known as Scrat (Chris Wedge) are back in this sequel to the popular 2002 film. Manny is ready to start a family, but nobody has seen another mammoth for a long time. In fact, Manny thinks he may be the last one. That is until he miraculously finds Ellie (Queen Latifah), the only female mammoth left in the world. The only problem being that they can't stand each other. Ellie comes with some excess baggage in the form of her two possum friends, Crash (Seann William Scott) and Eddie (Josh Peck), a couple of daredevil pranksters and cocky, loud-mouthed troublemakers. When a huge glacial dam holding off oceans of water is about to break, threatening the entire valley, the only chance of survival lies at the other end of the valley. So our three heroes, along with Ellie, Crash and Eddie, form the most unlikely family as they embark on a mission across an ever-changing, increasingly dangerous landscape.
