Part live action, part CGI-animated family comedy based on the long-running comic strip. When the Winslow family moves from Kansas to Orange County, California with their goofy, accident-prone Great Dane, Marmaduke (voiced by Owen Wilson), the big dog experiences all kinds of trouble fitting in with his new canine neighbours. The film also features the voice talents of Emma Stone, William H. Macy, Sam Elliott, Steve Coogan and Kiefer Sutherland.

Children's adventure feature following the attempts of a dog to return his owner's beloved cuddly toy. When young Laney Brooks (Alyssa Shafer) is given a teddy bear as a present from one of her father, writer Michael (Dean Cain)'s acquaintances, she soon becomes enamoured with it, taking it everywhere. The teddy even sleeps beside her on the spot that used to belong to the family dog, Aussie (voice of James Ryan). Envious of Laney's new friend, the canine tries to get rid of him but he soon regrets his actions when he sees how sad his owner is. He sets out on a journey to retrieve the teddy, a feat that is made all the more difficult by the fact that the toy has been taken away by a rubbish truck.

Double bill of animated sci-fi adventures. In 'Space Chimps' (2008) a multi-billion dollar Space Agency probe disappears into a wormhole and a performing circus chimpanzee named Ham III (voice of Andy Samberg) is recruited to help locate it. Unfortunately, Ham III is more interested in messing around than living up to his illustrious heritage as the grandson of the first chimp in space. However, when the peaceful inhabitants of a distant planet are threatened by an evil dictator, the mischievous chimp is forced to become a reluctant hero, with the help of his crewmates, Lt. Luna (Cheryl Hines) and their commander, Titan (Patrick Warburton). In the sequel, 'Space Chimps 2: Zartog Strikes Back' (2010), zany young chimpanzee Comet (voice of Zack Shada) longs to be taken seriously as a fully-fledged space chimp and so travels to Planet Malgor, where he befriends the cute alien Kilowatt (Laura Bailey). After a hostile alien invasion, Comet must join forces with fellow chimps Ham (Tom Kinney), Luna and Titan to save the day.
Third instalment in the Pixar/Disney CGI-animated series, filmed for theatrical release using Disney Digital 3D. When their owner, Andy (voiced by John Morris), clears out his bedroom in preparation for starting college, Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz (Tim Allen) and the rest of the toy-box gang are dumped in the donations box at a local nursery school and find themselves at the mercy of a horde of wild, sticky-fingered toddlers. As they struggle to stay together while coping with the chaos, the gang meet a new bunch of toys led by pink teddy bear Lotso (Ned Beatty), while Barbie (Jodie Benson) is at last united with her male counterpart, Ken (Michael Keaton). The yearning to return home cannot be ignored, however, and many comical adventures ensue as the toys make a series of elaborate escape attempts. The film won Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature Film and Music (Original Song).
Another Muppet adventure with Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Rizzo, Fozzy and Animal. The Muppets must go to the North Pole to personally deliver three letters to Santa after they accidentally stop them from being posted. Trying to reach Santa before he sets out on Christmas Eve to deliver presents, the hapless Muppets face a whole host of obstacles and problems. Whoopi Goldberg, Uma Thurman, Jane Krakowski and Tony Sirico also star.

Joseph J. Lawson directs this family film following the adventures of a dog who is left home alone at Christmas. When his owners head to visit relatives for the Christmas holidays they are disappointed that they have to leave their beloved dog Bone behind. However, given that a pair of burglars plan to break into houses that are without their owners for the holidays, it is perhaps just as well that Bone is around. The resourceful dog quickly turns the tables on the burglars, using every trick imaginable to try and repel them from his territory. Davis Cleveland and David DeLuise star.
French Canadian animated feature for children. Franklin shares many good times with his grandmother, and when she is taken ill he is determined to help her. He hears the story from his Aunt Lucy of a talisman that may help to cure his Granny's illness. However, the talisman is said to be in Turtle Lake, and it is a long and difficult journey to get there. Franklin will need help from his friends and his aunt - and must also contend with her headstrong goddaughter Samantha.

David Lowery directs this Disney fantasy adventure remake starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Oakes Fegley and Robert Redford. When forest ranger Grace (Dallas Howard) discovers the boy she takes him home with her, hoping to help find his family. She soon learns of the dragon's existence and, when he comes under threat from a hunter (Karl Urban), Pete, Grace, her father (Redford) and lumber mill owner (Wes Bentley)'s daughter Natalie (Oona Laurence) set out to protect him.

But when beautiful cabaret singer Lucille (Vanessa Paradis) offers refuge to the creature, Emile and Raoul realise it may not be the ferocious villain it seems. The supporting voice cast includes Bob Balaban, Sean Lennon and Catherine O'Hara.

When they wake up, they find themselves in a world filled with giants, monster rats and buildings that reach into the sky.

Animated comedy featuring the voice of David Spade as Inca Emperor Kuzco, a rich, vain man who takes delight in other people's misfortunes. His former-advisor Yzma (Eartha Kitt) would like to get rid of him and hatches a plan to poison him. But when this is botched by Yzma's assistant and instead the potion turns Kuczo into a lowly (but talking) llama, Kuzco finds that he has to learn what life is like for the people at the bottom. Kuzco enlists the help of a poor farmer (voiced by John Goodman) to get him back to the palace and find a sorcerer that can reverse the spell whilst dodging Yzma and her assistant who are still trying to finish off their evil plan. The film features songs by Sting, one of which was nominated for an Oscar. |
