DVD > Children
Family adventure based on the novel by Roald Dahl. The film centres around an eccentric chocolatier, Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp), and Charlie Bucket (Freddie Highmore), a good-hearted boy from a poor family who lives in the shadow of Wonka's extraordinary factory. Most nights in the Bucket home, dinner is a watered-down bowl of cabbage soup, which young Charlie gladly shares with his mother (Helena Bonham Carter) and father (Noah Taylor) and both pairs of grandparents.
They all live in a tiny, tumbledown, drafty old house but it is filled with love. Every night, the last thing Charlie sees from his window is the great factory, and he drifts off to sleep dreaming about what might be inside. For nearly fifteen years, no one has seen a single worker going in or coming out of the factory, or caught a glimpse of Willy Wonka himself, yet, mysteriously, great quantities of chocolate are still being made and shipped to shops all over the world.
One day Willy Wonka makes a momentous announcement. He will open his famous factory and reveal 'all of its secrets and magic' to five lucky children who find golden tickets hidden inside five randomly selected Wonka chocolate bars. When Charlie finds some money on the snowy street and takes it to the nearest store for a Wonka Whipple-Scrumptious Fudgemallow Delight he finds a golden ticket.
The family decides that Grandpa Joe (David Kelly) should be the one to accompany Charlie on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Once inside, Charlie is dazzled by one amazing sight after another.

university years of James P. 'Sulley' Sullivan (voice of John
Goodman) and Michael 'Mike' Wazowski (Billy Crystal). After meeting

rejected from the 'Scare' programme, however, the two put their
differences aside and work together in order to fulfil their
ambition to become scarers. In the process they join a fraternity
of fellow rejects and compete in the Scare Games to prove their
worth. The film also features the voice talents of Helen Mirren and
Steve Buscemi.
Jessica Alba stars in this fourth film in the children's action
adventure series. Teenage twins Rebecca (Rowan Blanchard) and Cecil
(Mason Cook) have never got along with their stepmother Marissa
(Alba) since she married their father, spy-hunting reporter Wilbur
(Joel McHale). Unbeknown to the twins, however, Marissa is in fact
a retired super-spy. When Earth comes under threat from the
villainous Timekeeper (Jeremy Piven), Marissa is called back into
action, and Rebecca and Cecil must put their resentments aside and
assist her in protecting the future of the human race.
Four live-action/CGI-animated features based on the cartoon created
by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. In 'Scooby-Doo' (2002) Fred
(Freddie Prinze Jr), Daphne (Sarah Michelle Gellar), Velma (Linda
Cardellini), Shaggy (Matthew Lillard) and their dog, Scooby (voice

mysterious cases of brainwashing on Spooky Island. When they
arrive, they soon discover that a sinister voodoo cult is at work
upon the island; but when Fred, Daphne and Velma all get turned
into zombies, it's left to Shaggy and Scooby to save the day. In
'Scooby-Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed' (2004) everything is going well
for the Mystery Inc. gang: they're enjoying a high profile, and the
public adore them so much their hometown of Coolsville has even
opened a special museum in their honour. But things take a bad turn
when a masked villain tries to take control of the city using a
Monster Machine that brings to life the gang's past enemies -
including the 10,000 Volt Ghost, Captain Cutler and The Creeper -
reproductions of whom are on display in the museum. To make matters
worse, a local TV reporter (Alicia Silverstone) has got it in for
Mystery Inc., airing a series of reports that call their bravery
and intelligence into question. Can Scooby, Shaggy and the gang
regain their credibility and vanquish the dastardly Monster Machine
operator? 'Scooby-Doo: The Mystery Begins' (2009) tells the story
of how Daphne (Kate Melton), Velma (Hayley Kiyoko), Fred (Robbie
Amell), Shaggy (Nick Palatas) and a puppy called Scooby-Doo (voice
of Frank Welker) first met and became friends while attending
Coolsville High. When ghosts start appearing, the gang get
suspended from school after being falsely accused of playing spooky
practical jokes. In an effort to prove their innocence, they set
out to get to the bottom of the supernatural mystery. Finally, in
'Scooby-Doo: Curse of the Lake Monster' (2010) Shaggy, Velma,
Daphne, Fred and Scooby-Doo go to work at Uncle Thorny (Ted
McGinley)'s country club in Erie Point during their summer holiday.
When a big green creature shows up at the club, causing chaos,
Thorny loses a great deal of his customers so the gang decide to
help him by investigating the legendary curse of the lake
monster...
