Look into the Lives of Our Most Beloved Celebrities--After Their Deaths For the first time, renowned psychic Sylvia Browne reveals how cherished stars are using their talents since their deaths. Which celebrity is working on a cure for cancer? Who specializes in welcoming the newly departed to the Other Side? From longtime regrets to newfound passions, Afterlives of the Rich and Famous includes everything these deceased stars most want to share with loved ones on this side: John Kennedy Jr. and Jackie Kennedy Onassis work with a team of researchers on the prenatal detection, treatment, and cure of birth defects. Katharine Hepburn's favorite golf partner is Christopher Reeve. Brittany Murphy hopes to reincarnate quickly, and has charted an "exquisitely unremarkable" life in Portugal.
We all have questions about our lives, our souls, and loved ones who have passed on. Now we can find the answers. In "Heaven and Earth," world-renowned spiritual medium and bestselling author James Van Praagh reveals the techniques that anyone can use to contact "the other side." Combining his own experiences with the testimony of others who have been touched by their spirit guides, Van Praagh encourages us to embark on our own journey of discovery, teaching us to " recognize and listen to our own inner voices alter our awareness to make contact with the spirits of the departed interpret our dreams as messages from beyond use our inherent psychic gifts to help and heal others " Most of us go through life without developing the wonderful, natural, God-given abilities inherent in all of us. In "Heaven and Earth," James Van Praagh gives us the tools to bring them to life.
Why do religions fail or die? Taking a multidisciplinary approach, this open access book explores this important question that has received little scholarly attention to date. International contributors provide case studies from the United States, England, Sweden, Japan, New Guinea, and France resulting in a work that explores processes of attenuation, disintegration, transmutation, death, and extinction across cultures. These include: instances where mass suicides or homicides resulted in religious dissolution; the fall of Mars Hills Church and its larger-than-life megachurch pastor, accused of plagiarism and bullying in 2012; the death of the last member of the Panacea Society in England in 2012; and the disintegration of Knutby Filadelfia, a religious community in Sweden with Pentecostal roots that ceased to exist in May 2018 after a pastor shot his wife. Combining case studies and theoretical contributions, The Demise of Religion: How Religions End, Die, or Dissipate fills a gap in literature to date and paves the way for future research The eBook editions of this book are available open access under a CC BY-NC-ND 3.0 license on www.bloomsburycollections.com.
