Triple bill of historical adventures. In 'The Eagle' (2010) Marcus Aquila (Channing Tatum), a young soldier in 140 AD Roman-occupied England, sets out to honour his father's memory by tracking down the long-missing Roman Ninth Legion in which his father once served. Accompanied by his British slave, Esca (Jamie Bell), Marcus travels beyond Hadrian's Wall into the uncharted highlands of Caledonia to confront its savage tribes and retrieve the lost legion's golden emblem, the Eagle of the Ninth. In 'Gladiator' (2000) Russell Crowe stars as Maximus, a general beloved of the Emperor, Marcus Aurelius (Richard Harris), but feared by the Emperor's son and heir, Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix). When Aurelius dies and Commodus accedes to the throne, Maximus returns home to find his wife and son killed and only just survives the murderous dictates of the new Emperor himself. Sold into slavery then trained as a gladiator, only thoughts of revenge keep Maximus going as he prepares for a showdown at the Colosseum, presided over by Commodus. In 'Robin Hood' (2010), Sir Robin of Loxley (Crowe) returns from the Crusades to his home in the north of England. There he comes up against the oppressive regime imposed by the tyrannical new Sheriff of Nottingham (Matthew Macfadyen). Outraged by the Sheriff's behaviour and the general state of the region, Robin summons up a group of supporters and puts his formidable archery skills to use in an effort to free the people from corruption and political injustice.
Second collection of episodes from the second season of the children's animation based on the line of toys by Lego. Set in the fictional world of Ninjago, the series follows a group of young Ninja who, under the tutelage of Sensei Wu (voice of Paul Dobson), are Spinjitzu martial artists in training, learning to wield their special Golden Weapons and use their unique elemental powers to protect the land from evil forces.
Jack Black and James Marsden star in this comedy written and directed by Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul. Dan Landsman (Black) hasn't achieved much in his adult life and so when his annual high school reunion comes around once again he, as head of the reunion committee, tries to prove himself by getting more people than ever before to attend. As he receives more and more negative responses he begins to think the whole idea of a reunion is stupid, until he sees a television commercial starring his former classmate Oliver Lawless (Marsden). As he hatches a plan to get Oliver to the reunion in the hope that everyone else will attend with the promise of a celebrity, Dan travels to LA to convince Oliver to go along with his master plan.
With content too rude for TV, Mrs Agnes Brown (played by writer/creator Brendan O'Carroll) and her unruly brood take to the road on their first live tour.

Matilda (Mara Wilson) is an exceptionally gifted and intelligent child, but is ignored by her stupid parents Harry (Danny DeVito) and Zinnia (Rhea Perlman). Here the action is seen from the Japanese point of view and the film is based on the book 'Picture Letters from Commander in Chief' by Tadamichi Kuribayashi. The island of Iwo Jima stands between the American military force and the home islands of Japan. Therefore the Imperial Japanese Army is desperate to prevent it from falling into American hands and providing a launching point for an invasion of Japan. General Tadamichi Kuribayashi (Ken Watanabe) is given command of the forces on the island and sets out to prepare for the imminent attack. General Kuribayashi, however, does not favour the rigid traditional approach recommended by his subordinates, and resentment and resistance fester among his staff.
