This relatively modern colour is very unusual. Its top tone is a muted, almost brownish green. But its undertone, when used as a glaze, has the effect of an antique yellow patina. The yellow predominates over the green as the colour is extended out.

Designed for sculptural purposes, R&F's Impasto Modeling Wax is a blend of microcrystalline (petroleum) waxes and beeswax. This Impasto Modeling Wax can be cast, carved, and layered to create a textural surface. The melting point of the impasto modeling wax is 175°F, 79°C - a higher temperature than the melting point of encaustic (approximately 162°F, 72°C).
