Triple bill of family adventures based on the books by Roald Dahl.
'Charlie & the Chocolate Factory' (2005) centres around an
eccentric chocolatier, Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp), and Charlie Bucket
(Freddie Highmore), a good-hearted boy from a poor family who lives in
the shadow of Wonka's extraordinary factory. One day Willy Wonka makes
a momentous announcement: he will open up his famous factory and reveal
all of its secrets and magic to five lucky children who find golden
tickets hidden inside five randomly selected Wonka chocolate bars.
Kenny Ortega directs this fantasy adventure sequel following the
children of some of Disney's most notorious villains. When the
celebrity lifestyle becomes too much for Mal (Dove Cameron), she
reverts back to her old ways and returns to the Isle of the Lost.
However, her sudden return doesn't go down well with her old enemy Uma
(China Anne McClain), who is still bitter that Mal was chosen to become
a citizen of Auradon over her.
Twenty-five years after this merry movie charmed audiences with a colourful mix of song, humour and life lessons, the Candy Man still wields magic, expecially now in a vibrant new print with a soundtrack in true stereo. From the classic Roald Dahl story comes a lip-smacking delight with jolly tunes, among them The Candy Man and Pure Imagination. With a golden ticket young Charlie Bucket wins a tour of the factory of wily mogul Wonka (Gene Wilder) and run by his Oompa-Loompa crew. There Charlie, his Grandpa Joe and others discover a kind heart is a finer possession than a sweet tooth. Don't let the tour leave without you!
Tony has just moved with his parents from a big bustling city in America, to a small village in a remote corner of Scotland and is finding it rather difficult being the new kid in town. One night, a lone bat flies through Tony's window and transforms into a vampire boy called Rudolph. The two soon become the best of friends. Rudolph then enlists Tony's help to lift the curse of being a vampire. But first they must scupper the dastardly plans of the evil Vampire Hunter, Rookery.
Family adventure based on the novel by Roald Dahl. The film centres around an eccentric chocolatier, Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp), and Charlie Bucket (Freddie Highmore), a good-hearted boy from a poor family who lives in the shadow of Wonka's extraordinary factory. Most nights in the Bucket home, dinner is a watered-down bowl of cabbage soup, which young Charlie gladly shares with his mother (Helena Bonham Carter) and father (Noah Taylor) and both pairs of grandparents. They all live in a tiny, tumbledown, drafty old house but it is filled with love. Every night, the last thing Charlie sees from his window is the great factory, and he drifts off to sleep dreaming about what might be inside. For nearly fifteen years, no one has seen a single worker going in or coming out of the factory, or caught a glimpse of Willy Wonka himself, yet, mysteriously, great quantities of chocolate are still being made and shipped to shops all over the world. One day Willy Wonka makes a momentous announcement. He will open his famous factory and reveal 'all of its secrets and magic' to five lucky children who find golden tickets hidden inside five randomly selected Wonka chocolate bars. When Charlie finds some money on the snowy street and takes it to the nearest store for a Wonka Whipple-Scrumptious Fudgemallow Delight he finds a golden ticket. The family decides that Grandpa Joe (David Kelly) should be the one to accompany Charlie on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Once inside, Charlie is dazzled by one amazing sight after another.

Plotting to steal the children’s fortune, Olaf disguises himself as his assistant Stephano and ship captain Julio Sham and keeps popping up in the strangest places. And just when the Baudelaires think things are getting better, something unfortunate happens!
Disney's animated sci-fi version of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic adventure tale 'Treasure Island'. When he is given a star map with directions to a remote planet where space pirates store their treasure, Jim Hawkins realises this is his chance to embark on a life of adventure and signs himself up as a crew member on the spaceship R.L.S. Legacy. The Legacy soon blasts off in search of the Treasure Planet, but it is not long before rumours of mutiny begin to spread, with the part-cyborg Long John Silver leading the way.
Young Jim Hawkins (Bobby Driscoll) finds himself set for adventure on the high seas when he is entrusted with a treasure map by ailing pirate Billy Bones. The map shows the location of treasure buried by Bones' former captain, Flint. Other members of Flint's crew are also after the booty, so Jim is accompanied by Squire Trelawney and Doctor Livesy as they make their way by sea to the island where the treasure is hidden. However, some of Flint's crew, led by the one-legged John Silver (Robert Newton), have managed to inveigle their way aboard Jim's ship as crew members, and will stop at nothing to get their hands on the treasure.
