For over a decade, Motherpeace has been an inspiration and oracle for women all over the world. Motherpeace recovers the positive, nurturing peace-oriented values of prepatriarchal times, and brilliantly combines art, history, mythology, folklore, philosophy, and comparative religion with an informed spiritual and feminist perspective. Vicki Noble challenges us to celebrate our ancient peaceful heritage and to reclaim our right as a people to a life without war. The book is a vision of hope and transformation, made even more powerful by the vibrant pictorial images of the seventy-eight Motherpeace tarot cards. Motherpeace shows how traditional myths and symbols can provide ideas and images for understanding the meaning and power of the Goddess for women and men today.
George Combe (1788 1858) rose from humble origins to tour widely in Europe and the United States, lecturing on phrenology, the popular Victorian belief that character traits were determined by the configuration of the skull. He founded Britain's first Phrenological Society in 1820 in Edinburgh, and was considered the foremost phrenologist of the nineteenth century. These volumes, first published in 1841, contain Combe's account of a phrenological lecture tour he undertook in the United States between 1838 and 1840. In the form of a journal, Combe describes the social and political institutions of the United States, and provides vivid descriptions of American society and customs. He also provides accounts of phrenological practice and the lectures he presented. These volumes provide a wealth of information on nineteenth-century society in America, and invaluable details concerning the practice of phrenology. Volume 1 covers his stay in New York and New England.

Date Selection practitioners, specialists, and students will finally breathe a sigh of relief when they encounter this compendium! Compiling and streamlining all the information from important classical Date Selection sources such as The Tome of Heaven and Earth (Qian Kun Bao Dian), The Heavenly Precious Calendar (Tian Bao Li) and most significantly of all, The Book of Unifying Times and Discerning Dimensions (Xie Ji Bian Fang Shu), this book will make Date Selection research and study that much easier. An integral and important part of Chinese Metaphysics, Date Selection has largely been overlooked in importance due to the vast amount of resources available on the subject. The compendium attempts to summarise and unify all this information in a clear and understandable format and presents it within organised, systematic tables and charts. This is the first reference book of its kind to attempt to tabulate all the Stars relating to all the Jia Zi (Year Pillar), specifically the Directional Stars, Location-based Stars, and the Year-Based Stars (Positional Stars). Its benefits are multi-purpose and varied, and can be applied to all systems of Feng Shui (including San He, San Yuan, Xuan Kong), all systems of BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny) including the Shen Sha systems and structural systems, Purple Star Astrology, and many other forms of Chinese Metaphysics. The highlight of this vast and comprehensive compendium is that you'll be able to refer to every Star that is associated with a particular Jia Zi (Year Pillar), and hence have at your fingertips the 60 Jia Zi Annual Stars. Some of these include: Annual Positive Stars for every Jia Zi (Year Pillar); Annual Negative Stars for every Jia Zi (Year Pillar); Annual San Yuan Purple White Stars; Monthly Purple White Stars; Mountain Covering Yellow Path Stars; Heaven Penetrating Force Stars; Qi Men Three Nobles Stars; Plenty more, including the 12-Month Auxiliary Stars Reference Table. Just like the other books in Joey Yap's Chinese Metaphysics Reference Series, this book presents all the key technical phrases and names in both English and Chinese. This is designed to facilitate students, practitioners and teachers in their study, research, practice and teaching of Chinese Metaphysics in its original form.
Do you want to learn tarot, but feel overwhelmed by all the card meanings? Tarot by Numbers teaches you one of the easiest ways to read cards in an instant-to look at each card's number. Numbers are tarot's operating system. In a tarot deck, there are 22 major arcana cards numbered 0 to 21, plus four suits of 56 cards, named the minor arcana. Just like playing cards, these minor cards are numbered Ace to 10. Even at a glance, you can see how the Ace might reveal beginnings (the idea) and the Ten, an ending (or ultimate expression of the idea). Combine the numbers with other immediate clues such as the card's suit (Wands, Cups, Swords, Pentacles), colors, and main image and you will be able to quickly discern the card's meaning. With Tarot By Numbers, you'll discover what numbers mean in a reading, along with some professional number techniques, such as finding your tarot Birth Card by adding up the numbers in your date of birth, and discovering your 'tarotscope'-which tarot cards influence each year of your life. This book is perfect for tarot newbies who need an accessible route into tarot (without having to read all the history, myth, and symbolism), as well as the more experienced practitioner looking to refresh their tarot connection.

This is a fascinating narrative that reveals the cosmic forces that have been in play over the past 66 years. Help has come from the outside to preserve the human race. In 1945 when the atomic bombs, our "protectors" and "watchers" in outer space saw that Earth was on a collision course with disaster. The prime directive of non-interference prevented them from taking any action, but then they came up with a brilliant plan to save Earth and assist her in her ascension. They couldn't interfere from the "outside," but maybe they could influence from the "inside." So the call went out for volunteers to come and help. "Earth is in trouble - who wants to volunteer?" Dolores Cannon, through her hypnosis work has discovered three waves of these volunteers. Some have come direct from the "Source" and have never lived in any type of physical body before. Others have lived as space beings on other planets or other dimensions. Because all memory is erased upon entry to the Earth dimension, they do not remember their assignment. Thus these beautiful souls have a difficult time adjusting to our chaotic world. These souls have a vital role to play as they help all of the rest of us ascend to the New Earth.
The ancient Chinese wisdom of emperor Fu Hsi's I Ching or The Book of Changes has served as a guide to human behaviour for millennia. Pondering the highly visual images imparted in the hexagrams of the I Ching, the seeker finds complex responses to questions or situations imbedded in the multiple layers of images that must be deciphered and applied to one's individual circumstances. Among the I Ching's remarkable qualities is its capacity to speak universally through lyrical allegories of the natural and human worlds. Photographers and collaborators Janet Russek and David Scheinbaum have long been students of the I Ching. As landscape photographers accustomed to the teachings of the natural world, the relationship between their work as visual artists and their personal experiences working with the I Ching naturally led them to create this visual companion to the hexagrams. Their photographic interpretation of the Chinese Oracle -- featuring sixty-four duotone landscape portraits paired with text from the I Ching -- offers an additional metaphorical dimension to consultations with the book.
