Madeleine McCann was nearly four years old when she disappeared from her family's holiday apartment in Portugal on May 3, 2007. Despite a massive joint investigation by the Portuguese and British police departments, Madeleine was not found. Reports of sightings of the young girl in Spain, the Netherlands, Morocco, Argentina, Austria, France, India, America, and Australia brought cruel moments of hope to her family, but her actual location-and fate-remained a mystery. As the search for Madeleine reached a dead end in Europe, Salisu Suleiman, thousands of miles away in Africa, had developed an unusual approach that could overcome the limitations of modern investigative techniques and forensic science. Knowing that there were hundreds of people across the continent who claimed to be able perceive things in an alternative reality, he considered the possibility that one of them might be able to find Madeleine. Embarking on this strange search, Suleiman meets the Seventh Mystic, who believes that he knows where Madeleine is. Through his gifts, the Seventh Mystic delivers what should be the answer to everyone's prayers: an address in Lisbon. Soon after that, a photograph of the suspects surfaces. But just when they think Madeleine's recovery is imminent, they face a seemingly insurmountable obstacle because no judge will authorize a search based on the visions of a psychic in a remote African settlement. Was the mystic's information correct? Was Madeleine ever in house number nine? Is she still there? With the Seventh Mystic's visions left untried, many questions remain unanswered.

This book contains Julius A. Dresser's summary of mental science and the ability to heal the sick with mental and spiritual power. As the son of Horatio Dresser - an acquaintance and adherent of Phineas Quimby, the founder of the New Thought movement - Julius felt obliged to carry on his father's legacy by explaining the beliefs he held. Citing both ancient philosophy and religion, Julius begins by saying knowledge of mental healing is neither new nor novel: rather, it has practiced through history. Referring repeatedly to Christianity and Jesus Christ as an example of mental healing in action, Dresser aims to illustrate how P. P. Quimby rediscovered it. His experiences with tuberculosis, where conventional medicine in the form of camomile did more harm than good, are detailed. Quimby would later go on to assert that exciting, uplifting experiences such as riding a horse did far more for his tuberculosis than any other method.

This beautiful hand-bound edition showcases each card from the Rider-Waite set, the one most commonly used by Tarot readers. Deborah Leigh has intuitively read ordinary playing cards professionally for the last 20 years. She learned about Personal Prophesy and how to apply its principles to achieve a happier, more satisfying life from her grandmother who handed the fundamentals down to her two years before her death. Aside from her grandmother's revolutionary teachings, Deborah hasn't been able to find information on this particular method of perceiving the future to attain genuine love, success and happiness through ordinary playing cards--anywhere. While others might consider themselves "gifted"; Deborah insists she is not. She merely possesses an exceptionally well-developed intuitive sense focused through playing cards. A skill, she believes, anyone is capable of developing for themselves to bring true empowerment to their lives. Over the years, Deborah has taught others around the world to read playing cards as expertly as she does. They are faithful, devoted followers of Personal Prophesy to this day.
The magnificent Crowley Thoth Tarot Deck contains the kabbalistic and astrological attributions described in Aleister Crowley's The Book of Thoth.
""The End-of-the-World Delusion" is a well-written, thoroughly researched, and very readable book. Deering's lively narrative makes complex and complicated topics accessible to the average reader. He certainly pulled me into his book despite my cynical view of the topic. Deering offers the reader riveting histories of end-of-the world beliefs and covers an extraordinary array of ground in this well-researched book, discussing everything from the Mayan end-of-times predictions, Christian rapture beliefs, pandemics, economic doomsday scenarios, and other apocalyptic predictions." -Robert Watson, PhD, author/editor of thirty-four books, including "The Presidents' Wives" and "America's War on Terror" People from many different corners of civilization seem to be saying the same thing: the end is near. In The End-of-the-World Delusion, author Justin Deering explores such scenarios, discussing why they are not likely to occur or have any visible impact on this planet within our lifetime. Providing a thorough analysis, Deering chronicles the numerous instances of such predictions throughout history, examines frequent religious and cultural sources of these end-of-world claims, analyzes the sociological and psychological dynamics and dangers, and outlines other forms of end-times beliefs, ranging from religious to pop culture in nature. The End-of-the-World Delusion provides concrete information that helps evaluate these dubious assertions, relates how such beliefs have harmed individuals and society, and talks about why people are inclined to nurture such beliefs in the first place. Setting the record straight by detailing the history of failed doomsdays, Deering shows that nothing can be gained by worrying about the end of time, and that we must learn a lesson from the past, live in the present, and plan for the future.
A definitive, factual, A-Z reference guide offering a global perspective on the role of prophecy in world history, religion, folklore, and literature. From at least 1200 B.C. and probably long before, prophets have attempted to see into the future. Most-from ancient oracles to modern astrologers, from doomsday sects to telephone psychics-have been wrong the majority of the time, says British researcher Geoffrey Ashe. True foreknowledge is rare, but those rare occurrences are impressive. In this fascinating reference work, the first to encompass the entire 3,000 year span of recorded prophecy, Ashe examines the predictions of both good prophets and bad, including seers like Jacques Cazotte, who forecast the Reign of Terror in the French Revolution, and Morgan Robertson, who described the Titanic disaster 14 years before it happened. He refutes many of the far-fetched claims of Nostradamus, and highlights those that foreshadow events after his lifetime. He also examines failed prophecies that have been influential, including the many end-of-the-world forecasts, along with the surprisingly accurate visions of some science-fiction authors. More than 100 entries on prophets and prophecies from the Antichrist to Yevgeny Zamyatin, the Russian author whose writings influenced Aldous Huxley's Brave New World and George Orwell's 1984 Extensive illustrations with drawings and diagrams including engravings from William Blake's so-called prophetic books and depictions of the ten incarnations of Vishnu Numerous photographs of writers such as D. H. Lawrence, H. G. Wells, and E. M. Forster; spiritual leaders such as Madame Blavatsky, founder of Theosophy; and Theodor Herzl, founder of Zionism A bibliography as a guide for extended research

This unique book teaches a useful skill in psychic sensing by shifting awareness, much like shifting attention to recall a memory. Abundant examples of remarkable results and swift learning are supplemented by discussions of applications and metaphysical phenomena.
Geraldine Cummins's fourth book, The Road to Immortality written in 1932, is a series of communications allegedly from F. W. H. Myers, the eminent psychologist and psychical researcher, who departed from the earth plane in1901. Communicating from the 'other side' Myers gives us a glorious vision of the progression of the human spirit through eternity. In the Introduction Beatrice Gibbes described the method of communication employed by Cummins. "She would sit at a table, cover her eyes with her left hand and concentrate on "stillness." She would then fall into a light trance or dream state. Her hand would then begin to write. In one sitting, Gibbes stated, Cummins wrote 2,000 words in 75 minutes, whereas her normal compositions were much slower-perhaps 800 words in seven or eight hours." Gibbes added that she witnessed the writing of about 50 different personalities, all claiming to be 'dead, ' and all differing in character and style, coming through Cummins' hand. Communicating through Cummins, Myers stated: "We communicate an impression through the inner mind of the medium.... Sometimes we only send the thoughts and the medium's unconscious mind clothes them in words." Speaking of God Myers explains; The term God means the Supreme Mind, the Idea behind all life, the Whole in terms of pure thought, a Whole within which is cradled the Alpha and Omega of existence as a mental concept. Every act, every thought, every fact in the history of the Universes, every part of them, is contained within that Whole. Therein is the original concept of all. Now considered a classic in afterlife literature, The Road to Immortality takes us on a journey we may all repeat some day, and with Myers as our guide, the journey is spectacular.
