This book teaches how to predict the future and understand yourself and others through studying the lines on the palm of the hand and studying the shape of the hand and fingers. Originally published in 1916, the author's research formed the basis for much of what is known about Palmistry today. The original work has been revised and updated to make it easier for modern day readers to understand. In this book you will discover: How something as simple as a handshake can reveal so much about a person. How to understand yourself and make the most of your natural inborn talents. How to quickly size up anyone you are dealing with without asking any questions or violating any laws. How to predict the success or failure of a relationship. These things and so much more. But does it really work? It sure does, it is uncanny No one really knows how or why it works, but it definitely does. But don't take our word for it, give it a try for yourself, and you will be astonished at how amazingly accurate it can be. This book will show you everything you need to know to get started doing palm reading immediately.

"New Thought" adherents at the turn of the 20th century vehemently believed they could tap into latent and mysterious mental powers, and one of the most influential thinkers of this early "New Age" philosophy offers here, in this delightfully weird 1908 work, a crash course in this benign and useful magic. You'll discover. . how to see through solid objects . how to diagnose hidden disease . how to peek into a person's secret history . how to travel by astral projection . how to see into the past . and more. American writer WILLIAM WALKER ATKINSON (1862-1932) was editor of the popular magazine New Thought from 1901 to 1905, and editor of the journal Advanced Thought from 1916 to 1919. He authored dozens of New Thought books under numerous pseudonyms, some of which are likely still unknown today, including "Yogi Ramacharaka" and "Theron Q. Dumont."

In 1909, the Champlain and Hudson Valleys-and America and the world along with them-celebrated the 300th anniversary of European "discovery" of these regions. Marking America's entry onto the world stage, the 1909 commemorations' parades, pageants, speeches and other spectacles prophetically mapped the nation's 20th century course toward empire. In the same year, the Austrian esoteric teacher Rudolf Steiner prophetically envisioned a very different American and world destiny, one whose culmination comes in 2009, the 400th anniversary of Samuel de Champlain and Henry Hudson's fateful landings. Focusing its historical gaze on Burlington, Vermont and Manhattan, A Short Story of American Destiny, 1909-2009 is an unsettling, surprising look at a small set of past events with profound implications for our present moment. Author of Across the Great Border Fault: The Naturalist Myth in America and Bright Colors Falsely Seen: Synaesthesia and the Search for Transcendental Knowledge, Dr. Kevin Dann teaches in the History Department at State University of New York, Plattsburgh. New revised edition, 2012. The YI JING (I Ching) or Book of Change is China's oldest classic. It is a book of divination attributed to the mythical emperor Fu Xi. It contains 64 hexagrams or six-line images, which can be used to give answers to any question. Commentators such as the Duke of Zhou (8th century BCE) or Confucius added their wise words to these hexagrams and for ages this book has guided China's millions. The present version of the "Book of Change" is mainly meant as a divination tool. In this translation the authors did not only depend on the text and context, but mainly stayed with the basic structure of the YI JING namely the meanings and order of the trigrams, and the images and order of the hexagrams to clarify the meaning of the hexagrams and lines. They were also supported by their long-time experience of working with the Yi Jing. This new translation of the Yi Jing was therefore not a matter of translating the text from the Chinese language into English, but was rather a transcribing of the essence of the YI JING into concepts that come as close as possible to its actual meaning and purpose. The authors attempted to construct what they see as THE BASIC YI JING: one that is simple and easy, and comes as close as possible to the essence of the Yi-tradition. In their additions, notably named "The Twelfth Wing," the authors delved into the abstract and philosophic aspects of the book. They conversed with other researchers, and completed the book with an extensive bibliography. TOC: About the authors Preface Introduction, Origin, signs and omens, The Inner stgructure of the Yi-Jing, Three main methods of consultation, Inquiry and interpretation THE BASIC YI JING The Twelfth Wing: Introduction, Eight main principles of the Yi JIng, The Yi Jing and the process of change, The Yi JIng and the concept of time, The Yi Jing and the theory of chance, Parallelity and the Yi Jing, Inconsistencies in the Yi Jing, The Yi Jing's ways of wisdom, The order and sequence of the hexagrams, Yi Jing methodology, Consulting the Yi Jing with a die, Yi Jing numerology, A Mandala of hexagrams Appendices: The working method, Yi Jing corrections, The Trigrams, Miscellaneous, Chart to identify the hexagrams Bibliography
