Jesus called the disciples to follow him in his ministry as God the
Father called all the prophets to deliver his message to the people
in the Old Testament: As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he
saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for
they were fishermen. Come, follow me, Jesus said, and I will make
you fishers of men At once they left their nets and followed him.
(Mark 1:16-17). The first calling of disciples is to follow Jesus
and to know him personally as a result of this relationship; they
then lead others to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Christ is
still calling people today to follow him; if he calls you please
answer his call the reward is great; he is waiting for you and me
to take the gospel of God to the end of the earth.

This study explores the reception history of the Lord's Prayer in
the Ghanaian context. After presenting the current state of
research in the Lord's Prayer from an exegetical perspective, this
book discusses a wide field of hermeneutical approaches, such as
inculturation biblical hermeneutics, mother-tongue biblical
hermeneutics, African feminist biblical hermeneutics, liberation
biblical hermeneutics and post-colonial biblical hermeneutics.
Taking the discussions of these approaches together, it was
realised that the general hermeneutical setting in Ghana (and
Africa as whole) is reader-centred, i.e. the readers play an active
role in the hermeneutical process and the results of the
hermeneutical process are aimed at the readers' contexts and the
transformation of those contexts.
This handbook of foreign loan words in the Arabic of the Quran is
set up in dictionary format. Each word is given in Arabic and in

its relationship to foreign languages.
