One little hot dog sitting on a chair... "I want a friend to sit
with me!" Two little hot dogs sitting on a chair... One by one,
more little hot dogs join the group until...there are ten little
hot dogs on the chair. They play and play until...they all fall
asleep. But then, one little hot dog wakes up, and one by one,
guess what the other hot dogs do? This funny picture book featuring
artwork in watercolor and black pencil shows young readers how to
count up from one to ten and back down from ten to one.
What does a little ladybird weigh? A snail? A swan? In her
extraordinary picture book Alison Limentani introduces children to
a fascinating world of wildlife, weight, numbers, and comparisons.
Did you know that five starlings weigh the same as one squirrel -
or that three rabbits weigh the same as one fox cub? Kids - and
parents, too - will be amazed and amused by every surprising and
intriguing page. AGES: 3 to 6 AUTHOR: Alison Limentani has a degree
in Animal Behaviour and worked as a zookeeper before training as a
veterinary nurse. She is passionate about drawing animals, and
sharing her knowledge about them, which led her to complete a
Master's of Art in Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge
School of Art in England. She teaches children's art classes at
London Zoo and creates images using traditional printmaking
techniques. Alison lives in Cambridge, England.

One cherry, one cheetah Two dogs, two balls, one big, one small Three bears, three bowls, three silver spoons This stunning counting book, illustrating numbers 1 to 10 in beautiful animal paintings, is now presented as a very special board book, embellished with gold leaf as in the original hardback edition, bringing this gorgeous book to a younger readership. With playful words and stunning pictures with lots of detail to pore over, the book depicts dogs, bears, foxes, elephants, tigers, pandas, otters, mice - and of course one cheetah and a cherry - making this a perfect introduction to numbers and counting.
This stunning, early-concept board book series features an
intergenerational Black family over the course of a day, as readers
learn colors and numbers. When Mom realizes there are zero eggs in
the house, the entire family heads to the store to pick up more.
Readers can join the counting fun as the family shops and adds more
items to their basket--from three bananas to five plums--amid the
backdrop of a bustling market. Publishing simultaneously with The
Rainbow Park, The Numbers Store studies numbers through the
experience of an intergenerational Black family's trip to the local
grocery store.
