One morning, Rabbit discovers a birthday parcel addressed to him.
Inside is a Bible and on the flyleaf is written 'Read Me'. As he
wonders at this odd present a brightly painted gypsy-style caravan
hurtles down the road - and narrowly misses him. Rabbit picks up
the book and joins the caravan travellers - Hector the horse,
Caravan Bear and Whitby (female) the dog. The Animals' Caravan, has
echoes of children's classics such as Wind in the Willows and Alice
in Wonderland as Rabbit leaves his home to set out on an unexpected
journey - a journey to find friendship and make sense of the world
around him. He also finds himself on a journey of faith as he and
his new friends wrestle with some of the often difficult concepts
in the bible, thereby gaining fresh insights and understanding of
God's loving involvement and care for the world. The travelling
life of the caravan and its occupants provide the opportunity for
Rabbit to share these tales with other animals they meet and they
join Caravan Bear, Whitby and Hector in listening - and learning
from - the stories. He is frequently interrupted by questions from
his listeners, the kind of questions any child - or adult - might
ask. The real and often humorous events that happen to Rabbit and
his friends are mirrored by the stories from the Bible enabling
children to realise that the stories have relevance and meaning
today.

"The city's going to be destroyed by earthquake " one excited
person exclaimed. "No, fire and brimstone are going to fall from
Heaven " said others. "It's the end of the whole world, not just
the city of Lima " declared still others. What on earth had the
saintly Father Francis Solano said last night in that sermon he
gave in the market-place? Why, it was now midnight and the whole
city was in an uproar There was a long line in front of every
confessional. Candlelight processions with the Blessed Sacrament
wound through the streets. Stolen goods were being returned to
their owners. Enemies were reconciled. Unbaptized children were
baptized, marriages were rectified, debts were paid. The Viceroy
and the Archbishop held a hasty meeting. Then the Viceroy issued an
order to his officers: "Go to the monastery and bring Father
Francis here at once We have to get to the bottom of this " What
was going to happen now? This book gives the answer. It also tells
about the terrible plague, the slaves on the sinking ship, the
Indians on the warpath, and Francis' worldly friend, John. In
short, this is the wonderful story of the great St. Franics Solano,
Wonder-Worker of the New World and Apostle of Argentina and Peru.
Young people today face unprecedented pressures and temptations.
Statistics related to suicide have hit an all-time high. To say that
many teenagers and young adults are in crisis is not an understatement.
They are exposed to influences that try to make death seem intriguing
and appealing. Sadie Robertson sees and understands that this is
happening and has written Live to illustrate clearly God's alternative.
Where the world offers death in the form of hopelessness, negativity,
loneliness, rejection, and other experiences, Jesus offers abundant
life.
Robertson has a keen understanding of the issues facing young people
today and knows that many are desperate for hope that they can live
with strength, confidence, conviction, and vibrant commitment to God.
The world entices daily with choices that lead to misery. Readers need
to know that it's possible to resist the draw of the world and follow
God into a life of fulfillment and adventure.
The book includes material on overcoming jealousy, finding confidence,
dealing with haters, waiting on God, living in victory instead of
defeat, discovering the power of words, and knowing how to tell the
difference between what leads to life and what leads to death-so young
people can make the best choices.
With a social media audience of more than 6 million, Robertson has
become the leading voice of hope, courage, and truth for her
generation. In Live, she reminds readers that there's a big difference
between being alive and knowing how to truly live. To be alive is
something that happens to you. But to truly live is something you get
to choose each day. As Robertson says, "When you truly learn to live
the life God offers, your whole existence becomes a verb."
Including full-color photography and high design, Live shows teens and
young adults through story and biblical truths how to enjoy a rich and
rewarding life by choosing God's way over the world's influence.
Moments of decision greet everyone. Some of those decisions are minor
and others are life altering, but all serve as stepping stones to
peace, joy, and fullness or to disappointment and emptiness. Robertson
is passionate about inspiring a generation to live with bold confidence
and faith every day.
Live releases in conjunction with Robertson's 16-city speaking tour. As
a speaker, influencer, and media personality, Robertson has enjoyed
sold-out events across the country on previous tours. A popular blogger
at LiveOriginal.com, the founder of a line of creative clothing, and a
tireless advocate for underprivileged youth, Robertson is known for
living out her message with passion and joy. Her remarkable ability to
relate to her peers encourages them to view her as a role model, and
her call for them to live uncompromised godly lives has gained her the
respect of parents, pastors, and ministry leaders much older than she
is.
