Ephesians tells us what God has given to us by grace, because of His own devotion toward His family, to involve us in His glory. Unlike the other epistles, Ephesians does not chide the Church for anything. Emmanuel Swedenborg's guide to the afterlife, and the importance of the human connection to God, remains one of the most celebrated Enlightenment-era works on the subject. Originally published in Latin during the mid-18th century, Swedenborg's treatise contains rich allusions not merely to the realms of the afterlife, but also to the principles of Christianity.
