Storm Clouds Gathering ...
In contrast to these busy first few weeks of establishing
back-to-school routines, as well as the uncertainty of medical
tests for Kjrsten, I reflected back on the quiet respite we'd had
over the past summer.
One of our favorite summer activities was to sit on the long,
covered front porch of our home and watch the storms as they rolled
in from the west across Clear Creek. We'd listen for the thunder
and see the lightning striking at the bottom of the hill as the
storm climbed upward and through the cornfield to the edge of our
yard. We were relieved as it rumbled noisily over the top of our
house without leaving any damage as it continued its steady march
to the east.
Little did we know what kind of storm was brewing for our
perfect little family.
A passionate woman, Annabelle who always wanted to be on top and
will do everything without hesitations to make life to the fullest,
had lived in a challenging life and ends up with an empty heart.
She searched and worked so hard to find the truth. Regina, an
ambitious strong woman who later well loved but life became
miserable. She struggled and had crossed many roads to get away
from agony. Fulfilling her dreams in the ocean of obstacles did not
prevent her from doing the hard way. Women of substance that lived
in different world, searching for happiness, love and devotion but
heartaches were always a part of it. Together with their old
fashioned father that died in pain and a supportive gentle mother,
who became a victim of a troubled love characterized by family
disunity.
An inspiring and enlightening story of family values, the hard
times and the good times, interesting facts about heritage, and
social status. Seeking happiness on simple and adventurous lives
were among other interesting things. It is a story of romance,
humorous memories and great drama.
"Mind Bungee Jumping went through several titles before I settled
on this one. The title seems to fit what I was trying to accomplish
by writing this book. I am told that when you are bungee jumping
you are filled with anxiety, exhilaration, you get a rush and your
adrenalin starts pumping. It feels as if you are jumping into the
unknown, yet you are attached to reality. The rope or material that
keeps you from falling, also springs you back to reality and
ensures that your feet will eventually touch the ground. However,
the feeling of weightlessness, flying though the air, having no
worries and seeing the world from high above are the same feelings
I get from writing. Material included in this book sends the
message that your imagination is the one thing of beauty that you
can make individually yours and you can touch the rainbow.
This is a poetry book filled with inspirational messages that came
about as the author Phyllis Butler was trying to overcome her
doubts about life, self, love and relationships. Writing poems
helped her to gradually heal and change her focus from herself to
helping others by sending a message.

"God ... has written us love letters in His creation, in His
Word, in His invitation to ... converse with Him about our needs,
in His daily provisions for us, and, above all else, in Jesus'
death on the cross." Mary Love Eyster has been taking notes
throughout her years as a Christian, wife, mother, Sunday school
teacher, and Bible study leader. This is the first compilation of
her devotionals, originally written for the Church at Quail Creek,
and posted each week on her blog, http:

Reading Love Notes is like having a cup of coffee in the kitchen
with a cherished and wise friend Stop in and stay for a while.
Life is all about being successful and happy. Many of us have
everything and yet find the real happiness missing. We are
constantly in pursuit of that joy which has eluded us forever, thus
far. When we realize our true nature and origin, it enables our
progression towards attaining a happy and fearless state in life.
Each one of us is a divine Soul; unborn, unchanging, immutable and
eternal; an inseparable potency of that Supreme God, who dwells in
us eternally. Though each one of us has the potential to experience
a divine existence, being immortals, we have chosen to take birth
in this mortal world; taking birth to die and dying to take birth
again, in some 8.4 million bodies. There is a mismatch in what is
happening to us. We are immortals, but the bodies we acquire in
this world are not. We can attain the divine, eternal world of God,
if we realize our imperishable relationship with God, who alone can
grant us the state we all seek. With that realization, we can
transcend causes and effects of this karmic world, overcoming grief
and pain. We not only achieve material success, but also live a
useful life, for the self, for our families and for the society.
