This book informs the readers about the life of a Southeastern Kentuckian and his struggles with 17 years of religious teachings coupled with, once into real world employment, corruption in the government of the United States of America and treasonous acts by members of the executive and legislative branches of the federal government.
The author will try to explain and encourage those that are seeking to marry that marriage is a holy estate instituted by God. Marriage was ordained for the life-long companionship, help and comfort which husbands and wives ought to have for each other. The author's deepest focus points are: Life-long Marriage and Finding the Right Mate. Many married couples do not keep the marriage vows they made. Because of that, I recommend marital counseling before marriage. The author does not focus too much on divorce because of his disbelief in divorce. It was Moses that executed the bill of divorce. He did it to protect the women because husbands would divorce their wives for anything just to marry another woman. Women have a moral personality and are not a thing that men may hand over to another, and then take her back again at his pleasure. The author believes there is not law instituting or commanding divorce. Most people use Matthew 19:9, where Jesus was only explaining what Moses meant. The marriage that God wants is a marriage of a life-long commitment; a forever happy home
How do you GET WISDOM?
Jill Gebhart Campbell's passion for poetry, writing, and drawing prompted her to write this book, utilizing these creative genres, in order to portray her bipolar illness in a more personal way. It is also a reflection of how the devastating effects of bipolar disorder shaped her life. The author's story is about a young woman's odyssey of triumph and sorrow and her journey to find herself again. Before her diagnosis, she was a beautiful, compassionate young woman who excelled in both athletics and academics. After her diagnosis she gained more than 120 pounds-due to health issues, sick children, psychiatric hospitalizations, and unsuitable medications. She became depressed, self-consumed, and bitter. The debilitating depression and hauntingly real hallucinations forever impacted the way she sees life and how life sees her. Her faith in God proved to be her ultimate anchor through her heart-wrenching circumstances. After admission to solitary confinement, due to hallucinations, she experienced an even more profound depression. "The white walls, barred windows, cold cement floors, and white bedding only exacerbated my feelings of isolation and left me swirling downward in an even deeper depression." However, the Lord's unconditional love has allowed her to walk on the bright side once again. She overcame all the odds to become the woman she longed to be. She has attained the serenity one reaches when they've been to the very end, beyond hope, yet made it back.

However, her deep faith in GOD and fervent prayers have strengthened her belief that GOD has never left her side and is leading her each day with new meaningful plan and purpose for her life. GOD has blessed Roela to see glimpses of heave at three points in her life: when she was ten years old, at age eighteen, and in mid-life which guided her with wisdom and strength, courage and creative power to write this inspirational book with divine guidance from GOD, holy light from Jesus, and inspiration from the Holy Spirit. She will help you see glimpses of heave in many different ways in everyday life. She also wishes to share her creative artworks and the great Lessons of Life she learned from her heavenly visions and from the Scripture. Norbert M. Samuelson is Harold and Jean Grossman Chair of Jewish Studies and Professor of Religious Studies at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. Trained as an analytic philosopher, he went on to establish the Academy of Jewish Philosophy in 1980, which contributed greatly to the professionalization of Jewish philosophy in America. An ordained Reform rabbi, a constructive theologian, and a public intellectual, Samuelson has insisted that philosophy is the very heart of Judaism and that in order to survive in the 21st century Judaism must rethink itself in light of contemporary science. Through his scholarship and organizational work he has brought a Jewish voice to the dialogue of religion and science. Viewing Jewish philosophy as central to the understanding of the Jewish past, Samuelson has explicated the philosophical dimension of Judaism, from the Bible to the present.
Nestled along the shore of the Penobscot River, Orrington, Maine became the home of a small group of worshippers called by God to organize into a Congregational Church in 1833. From that humble beginning and being declared destitute in 1837, this church grew to become the largest church in the Congregational Christian Council of Maine. Drawing on original documents and interviews, this history of the East Orrington Congregational Church delivers a well-researched, fascinating look at the struggles and triumphs of this church and her congregation. The Rev. Dr. David H. Lester traces the church's original small membership under the guidance of Rev. Cyril Pearl in 1833 through its struggle to keep the doors open in the mid-1970s to its current status as one of the biggest congregational churches in the area. Through a true commitment to time, trust, and thankfulness, this group of dedicated Christians held fast to the resolve to be the Body of Christ outside the walls of the meeting house. A History of East Orrington Congregational Church, Orrington, Maine serves as a worthy testament to their unwavering faith in God and his direction for their ministry.
The book chronicles the life story of a woman pioneer in the electrical trade. It begins with the early childhood experiences that formed her approach to life. The empowerment of feminism was a natural result of her changed life that lead her into teaching, nursing, farming and the formation of her own electrical contracting company. Another aspect in the book is her journey from realism to faith. The dynamic tension between both of these themes and the resolution of them is the substory in this very interesting memoir.
'Tis the season to be jolly ... but not always. Some holiday hearts are a stark contradiction to the merriment the season brings. What began in 1991 as Cheryl Berger's personal gift to family and friends has grown into the collection you now hold in your hands. These inspirational writings have been included in her family's annual Christmas cards with the hope of bringing the recipients a little holiday cheer. Tidings of Comfort and Joy contains more than just seasonal entries, however. Some have to do with situations, circumstances, as well as the unexpected, experienced in everyday life. Bible verses have been woven like a scarlet thread throughout each piece. Some pieces are personal, and some were written for others. All were written with the purpose of encouraging hearts with the hope found in Christ. Realizing the Lord speaks to her heart through her writing, many hours have been spent seeking God for a word in due season. With a heart for hurting women, Cheryl uses words to minister hope and peace to wounded and broken hearts. If you listen carefully, you can hear songs of hope flowing throughout each piece. It is her prayer that the Lord will use the imagery penned in this collection to fill your heart with tidings of comfort and joy.
Folklore has been a phenomenon based on nostalgic and autochthonous nuances conveyed with a story-telling technique with a penchant for over-playing and nationalistic pomp and circumstance, often with significant consequences for societal, poetic, and cultural areas. These papers highlight challenges that have an outreaching relationship to the regional, rhetorical, and trans-rhetorical devices and manners in Kurdish folklore, which subscribes to an ironic sense of hope all the while issuing an appeal for a largely unaccomplished nationhood, simultaneously insisting on a linguistic solidarity. In a folkloric literature that has an overarching theory of poetics - perhaps even trans-figurative cognitive poetics due to the multi-faceted nature of its application and the complexity of its linguistic structure - the relationship of man (and less frequently woman) with others takes center stage in many of the folkloric creations. Arts are not figurative representations of the real in the Kurdish world; they are the real.
To Be a Jew deals with the question of the meaning and rationale that the writer Joseph Chayim Brenner attributes to Jewish existence. Many of Brenner's readers assumed that Brenner completely negated Jewish existence and sought to form a new way of life completely disconnected from the traditional Jewish existence. In contrast to this perception, Avi Sagi proves that not only did Brenner not reject the value of the Jewish existence, but the core of his creation was written out of a deep Jewish commitment. Brenner's greatest innovation is found in his new conception of Jewish existence. To be a Jew, according to Brenner, involves the willingness to discover solidarity with actual Jews, to participate in a society in which Jews can live a free life and to fashion their culture as they wish. Sagi presents the idea that Brenner's is not a Utopian, but a realistic, conception of Jewish existence. Thus this unique conception of Jewish existence is founded on an infrastructure of existential thought.
