Reeling backward involuntarily, both men staggered when a sharp light flashed powerfully through everyone's bodies on the steps! In that split-second flash, Alessandro and Cesare could see the people's transparent bodies and skeletons, silhouetted briefly in a weird blue light. Both men gasped loudly, when a massive expansion of pure energy happened, so sudden and so quick. They witnessed Beppi become engulfed. The power catapulted the helpless man into the air and held him up high like a blazing star, screaming. "Oh God! Look!" Cesare called out in grim abhorrence, nobody spared the grim details of the victim's flesh bubbling; Beppi's body wriggled and popped like a sausage on a barbeque. Paralysed, everyone watched helplessly, and nobody could save him. "It's Beppi! It's got Beppi! It's roasting him alive!" Yelling like a maniac, Alessandro's own sanity screamed out in disbelief.
