Andrew M. Jackson and Hank Bausch direct this horror starring Michael Hotop, Ashley Salazar and Freddie Meyer. Charlie (Hotop) and his younger brother Simon (Meyer) live a simple life on a remote farm. Although they have lived and worked on the same farm for all of their days they have never felt completely comfortable. As their fears and nightmares start to come true they realise that they were right not to feel at home.
A vulnerable student is filled with a sense of foreboding about a mysterious new arrival at a girls' boarding school in director Mary Hannon's adaptation of Rachel Klein's gothic novel. Helped to recovery by her best friend Lucy (Sarah Gadon) after the suicide of her father, sixteen-year-old Rebecca (Sarah Bolger) soon begins to feel ostracised when Lucy falls under the spell of darkly moody newcomer Ernessa (Lily Cole). When her concerns about the new student's motives are dismissed as jealousy by Lucy, a chance reading of a gothic novel triggers the belief in Rebecca that Ernessa may in fact be a vampire and is trying to steal her friend's life force. When staff and pupils at the school suddenly begin to suffer a series of deadly freak accidents, Rebecca decides to uncover the truth about Ernessa once and for all.
Triple bill of horror films. In 'Devil Riders' (2009), lawyers Robert (Bertie Higgins) and Allen (J.D. Rudometkin) go on a five-stop motorcycle poker run, along with their wives Susan (Debra Hopkins) and Cheri (Jasmine Waltz), but on the way they encounter psychopaths Ray (Robert Thorne) and Billy (Jay Wisell). Before long Susan and Cheri are kidnapped and Robert and Allen are put through their paces in a number of horrific challenges as they attempt to get their wives back. In 'The Maze' (2010), five teenagers decide to explore a corn maze one night. Unbeknown to them, however, a murderous lunatic lurks within the maze and is luring them to their deaths. Will any of them make it out alive? In 'The Goatman Murders' (2011), a group of friends on a road trip to Florida experience some car trouble and end up in the Maryland countryside where an axe-wielding murderer, who is half-man, half-goat, begins to kill them one by one. Will there be any survivors?
Horror in which a clinical trial at a remote facility goes terribly wrong. Among those who sign up to test ProSyntrex's latest drug Pro9 are Adam (Aneurin Barnard), Joni (Alex Reid), Carmen (Skye Lourie) and Jed (Oliver Coleman). The trial is highly secret, with no-one, including the staff who administer injections, aware of who is receiving the drug and who is in the placebo group. Shortly after the trial begins it becomes clear that something has gone wrong. There are unexplained disappearances, bizarre silhouettes and screaming from behind locked doors. Locked inside the facility, unaware of the true nature of events, the surviving patients and staff must band together to try and find a way out of the nightmare.
Australian supernatural suspense thriller/horror. Four teenagers find themselves on a ride to hell when they are tormented by a train without a driver in the wilds of the Australian outback.
Bestiality, battered babies and bucket loads of bodily fluids are the order of the day in this gross-out comedy horror sequel. The flesh-hungry monsters are on the rampage once again, this time in a neighbouring town, and the locals must join forces with the survivors from the first film to figure out how they can possibly survive their indiscriminately vicious onslaught.
Loose remake of the 1980 horror film. Brittany Snow stars as Donna Keppel, a troubled girl who is preparing to celebrate her senior prom. A few years earlier Donna's parents were murdered by Richard Fenton, one of her old teachers who had developed a dangerous obsession with her. Donna survived and three years later she is willing to put her past behind her and look to the future with optimism. Unfortunately, the man she thought had gone forever has escaped from prison and is willing to kill anyone who attempts to stop him from reuniting with his one and only Donna.
Hot on the heels of Patrick Bateman comes Rachelle Newman, the
all-American girl who will do anything to get ahead. Rachelle is a
student in college and is keen to earn the role of assistant to
Professor Robert Strickland; in fact, she is so keen that she begins
disposing of the opposition in a manner which would make Patrick proud.
This sequel to the film adaptation of the controversial novel stars
Mila Kunis as Rachelle and the mighty William Shatner as Professor
Strickland.
Triple bill of zombie films. 'Zombie Apocalypse' (2011) is a made-for-TV horror starring Ving Rhames in which a group of human survivors of a zombie outbreak set out to make it to an uninfected island. Ramona (Taryn Manning), Billy (Eddie Steeples) and Kevin (Gerald Webb) are almost killed when they head out to search for food. Fortunately for them, they meet a tough group that includes Henry (Rhames) and Cassie (Lesley-Ann Brandt), who take on the zombies with weapons as diverse as a sledgehammer and a samurai sword. 'Abraham Lincoln Vs Zombies' (2012) is a tongue-in-cheek zombie horror in which Abraham Lincoln is distracted from his composition of the Gettysburg Address by a more pressing concern - an outbreak of the undead. Lincoln (Bill Oberst Jr.) leads a team of Secret Service agents to the area to try and contain the disaster. There is a suggestion that Lincoln may have some experience of dealing with zombies from his past and he takes under his wing a youngster by the name of Teddy Roosevelt (Canon Kuipers), who may have a role of his own to play in the American story. 'The Dead' (2010) is a zombie horror set in West Africa. Robert Freeman stars as Lieutenant Brian Murphy, a military engineer who finds himself stranded in the wilderness of Burkina Faso after a zombie outbreak lays waste to civilisation. Eventually he teams up with Sergeant Daniel Dembele (Prince David Oseia), a local soldier who has gone AWOL from the army to search for his missing son.
Douglas Schulze directs this unconventional genre movie in which a group of horror fans get more than they bargained for when they find themselves immersed in their own nightmare. Russell (Taylor John Piedmonte) and Duane (Allen Maldonado) attend a horror convention where they listen to Alfonso Betz (Sid Haig) rail against the media presenting horror movies as an influence on real life murders. After the lecture, Russell and Duane meet Judith (Lauren Mae Shafer), an attractive fellow convention attendee who invites them to a party that night at an isolated farmhouse. Something bizarre happens at the party and Russell and Duane awake to find themselves under attack from hordes of zombies. As horror devotees, the pair are only too aware that their predicament eerily echoes the classic Romero movie 'Night of the Living Dead'. Will they be able to elude a traditional horror ending?
