Based on the classic ghost story, The Woman In Black tells the tale of Arthur Kipps, a lawyer who is forced to leave his young son and travel to a remote village to attend to the affairs of the recently deceased owner of Eel Marsh House. Working alone in the old mansion, Kipps begins to uncover the town's tragic and tortured secrets and his fears escalate when he discovers that local children have been disappearing under mysterious circumstances. When those closest to him become threatened by the vengeful woman in black, Kipps must find a way to break the cycle of terror.

When a group of college students discover that their new university dormitory used to be a mental asylum, they unwittingly awaken the spirit of one of the hospital's deranged doctors. The sadistic scientist then proceeds to torment and torture the students by awakening terrifying memories from their troubled pasts.
Produced by Steven Spielberg, this hugely successful horror flick apparently came under his directorial control, as well, despite the official credit being given to Tobe Hooper. Things start going bump in the night in a suburban home, much to the consternation of its resident family. When the youngest daughter gets sucked into the television screen, her parents call in an eccentric psychic for assistance.

In 1790 the evil Lestat (Tom Cruise), a 200-year old vampire, decides he wants a buddy and chooses Louis (Brad Pitt). However, despite Louis' desire for death after his young wife's demise, Lestat hasn't banked on Louis being so guilt-ridden when it comes to sucking blood from humans. So whilst Lestat continues to feast upon human flesh, Louis sticks to rats and chickens. That is, until he meets the young Claudia (Kirstan Dunst). Two hundred years later, Louis tells his story to a young reporter (Christian Slater).
Anna Biller directs this comedy horror starring Samantha Robinson, Jeffrey Vincent Parise and Laura Waddell which pays homage to the Technicolor thrillers of the 1960s and 70s. A young and beautiful witch named Elaine (Robinson) uses her magic to devise spells and craft concoctions which will grant her what she desires: a man who loves her. Inconveniently however, her creations work too well and every man she seduces ends up dead. She finally finds the perfect man for her, but her willful desire to feel loved may send her over the edge and into a heady brew of passion, madness and death.
David F. Sandberg directs this horror, based on his own short, starring Teresa Palmer, Gabriel Bateman and Maria Bello. After her husband is killed in a mysterious accident at work, Sophie (Bello) becomes mentally unstable and disturbed and spends much of her time communicating with an imaginary friend that lurks in the darkness. When her behaviour begins to affect her son Martin (Bateman), his older sister Rebecca (Palmer), who remembers their awful home life all too well, offers to shelter him in her apartment to keep him out of harm's way. With the reluctant help of her boyfriend Bret (Alexander DiPersia), Rebecca tries to uncover the mystery behind the entity her mother calls Diana as she researches her mother's past in a mental institution. But it seems Diana has now made Rebecca a target of her attacks when the lights go out...

Tom Hiddleston, Tilda Swinton and Mia Wasikowska star in this vampire drama written and directed by Jim Jarmusch. As Adam sinks into depression, Eve returns to him, sensing his despair, and the two rekindle their romance. However, the arrival of Eve's younger sister Ava (Wasikowska) threatens their relationship. The film also stars John Hurt and Anton Yelchin.
