- Four different models to meet the required distance and accuracy
- Ideal for outdoor use thanks to rugged metal housing with IP54 dust and water protection
- High precision in degrees or gons over long distances up to 100 meters
- Easy handling

Bosch is now expanding its product range of optical levels – previously represented by the GOL 26 D Professional and GOL 26 G Professional models – with the GOL 20 D Professional and GOL 20 G Professional tools featuring 20x magnification. All four models enable traditional leveling tasks, such as determining and transferring heights in open terrain or on construction sites, to be performed with ease and precision. Users can choose whether to measure in degrees or gons by selecting the appropriate model type – D for degrees, G for gons.

Thanks to their rugged metal housing with IP54 dust and water protection, these tools are especially robust and well-suited for outdoor use.

The right tool for the traditional leveling tasks
With a leveling accuracy of three millimeters over a distance of 30 meters, the GOL 20 D Professional and GOL 20 G Professional models ensure high precision at distances of up to 60 meters. They are therefore suitable for common leveling tasks for example when laying drainages or foundations. Users requiring even higher accuracy, such as surveyors, can choose from the already available GOL 26 D Professional and GOL 26 G Professional models, which have a maximum deviation of 1.6 millimeters over 30 meters and work precisely in a range of up to 100 meters.

Easy to use
All four models are ready for use at any time, as they do not require a power supply. With their 5/8" thread, they are compatible with standard building tripods such as the BT 160 Professional from Bosch. The optical levels are aligned using three leveling screws. They are correctly positioned when the bubble is centered in the circular vial. All you have to do to verify this is take a brief look into the penta prism above it. If the vial is level, the tool's integrated compensator automatically performs the fine adjustment.

The optical level is initially aligned with its target – generally a leveling rod – using the integrated target collimator. A sharp image is guaranteed by the telescope with its 20x or 26x magnification and the clear objective aperture of 36 millimeters. As a result, the aperture is particularly fast. The values on the leveling rod can therefore be seen clearly and read with ease thanks to the crosshairs. Horizontal alignment is performed by means of angular adjustment with a friction coupling which is operated using adjusting screws on either side.

Safe transportation
To prevent the optical level from damage during transport – especially the compensator – they are supplied in a carrying case with locking mechanism. The carrying case is also available as an accessory.

All optical levels from Bosch represent excellent value for money. The GOL 26 D Professional and GOL 26 G Professional models with 26x magnification are already available in the specialist trade at the recommended retail price of 179 euros. They come complete with a lens cover, plumb bob, adjusting pin, Allen key and carrying case with locking mechanism. The set including BT 160 Professional 5/8" building tripod and GR 500 Professional leveling rod is available for 219 euros.

The new GOL 20 D Professional and GOL 20 G Professional models will be available in the specialist trade from October 2010 onwards at the recommended retail price of 149 euros. The scope of delivery is the same as that of the models with 26x magnification. The set including BT 160 Professional 5/8" building tripod and GR 500 Professional leveling rod is available for 189 euros.

THE GOLF LASER RANGE FINDER WITH GPS

  • Full-colour 2-D course view mapping is integrated in the viewfinder display for more than 41,000 courses worldwide
  • Shows a detailed green view in a 2-D overlay with front and back information as soon as you lock the flag
  • Most accurate distance measurements, within 10" to the flag, up to 350 yards (320 metres)
  • Image stablisation reduces shakiness and makes it easier to find and range the flag
  • PlaysLike Distance feature adjusts distances based on uphill or downhill slope; turns on or off for tournament play

See The Game Differently
Approach Z80 laser range finder with GPS is the most accurate laser range finder available. It also gives you a new perspective on more than 41,000 courses worldwide. Looking through the viewfinder, you can see the view you ranged to as well as a full-colour CourseView overlay in 2-D for the whole you're playing, showing distances to hazards and to the front and back of the green. Then when you activate the laser range finder, you get absolute precise distances to any ranged target within 10”. The Approach Z80 automatically determines which hole you are currently playing to provide appropriate course layout and par information.

Lock Onto the Flag
Image stabilisation makes it easier to find and range to the flag. The ingenious flag finder locks onto the flag of any hole. After flag lock, the view finder changes automatically to add a detailed 2-D view of the green layout plus distances to the front and back of the green. The view through the range finder shows the hole at 6x magnification for clear, crisp views with augmented map overlays that show the hole layout.

Help for Uphill and Downhill Shots
The PlaysLike Distance feature adjusts yardages for uphill or downhill shots based on the change in elevation from where you are standing to the location labelled on the map. This makes figuring out which club to use for uphill and downhill shots much easier. And for tournament play, you can turn PlaysLike Distance on or off. There’s even a PinPointer feature that helps show you the direction to the green on blind shots.

See What's in Play
Once you range an object, the Laser Range Arc feature draws an arc on the 2-D course view map at the distance the laser ranged, so you can see everything that is in play at that distance.

The Tasco Laser Rangefinder delivers accurate range performance to +/- one yard. Range to a deer as far as 200 yards/182 meters out, or to a tree 400 yards/366 meters away for a reference point. The single button operation allows outdoor enthusiasts to easily measure distance with confidence.
The TASCO LASER RANGEFINDER emits invisible, eyesafe, infrared energy pulses. Digital technology instantaneously calculates distances by measuring the time it takes for each pulse to travel from the rangefinder, to the target, and back.

The ranging accuracy of the TASCO LASER RANGEFINDER is plus or minus one yard under most circumstances. The maximum range of the instrument depends on the reflectivity of the target. The maximum distance for most objects is 400 yards/366 meters while for highly reflective objects the maximum is 600 yards/549 meters. Note: You will get both longer and shorter maximum distances depending on the reflective properties of the particular target and the environmental conditions at the time the distance of an object is being measured.

The color, surface finish, size and shape of the target all affect reflectivity and range. The brighter the color, the longer the range. Red is highly reflective, for example, and allows longer ranges than the color black, which is the least reflective color. A shiny finish provides more range than a dull one.
A small target is more difficult to range than a larger target. The angle to the target also has an effect. Shooting to a target at a 90 degree angle (where the target surface is perpendicular to the flight path of the emitted energy pulses) provides good range while a steep angle on the other hand, provides limited ranging. In addition, lighting conditions (e.g. the amount of sunlight) will affect the ranging capabilities of the unit. The less light (e.g. overcast skies) the farther the unit’s maximum range will be. Conversely, very sunny days will decrease the unit’s maximum range.
