- Fast PoE: PoE switches can supply power to PDs within seconds upon power-on, which is different from common switches that supply power to PDs in 1 to 3 minutes after power modules are installed. When a PoE switch restarts due to a power failure, it continues to supply power to PDs immediately after being powered on without waiting until it completes the restart. This greatly shortens the power-off time of PDs.
- Perpetual PoE: When a PoE switch restarts (for example, during software upgrade), it continues to supply power to downstream PDs, ensuring uninterrupted PoE power supply.
Smart Upgrade:
- Based on Huawei Online Upgrade Platform (HOUP), CloudEngine S310 series switches support smart upgrade. They obtain the version upgrade path from the HOUP and download the new system software. If your priority for a 4G router is a fast, reliable connection - which it should be - then the Huawei B535 (also known as the HomeFi Plus) is easily one of the best options available.
It’s fast too, supporting download speeds of up to 300Mbps (37.5MB/sec) and upload speeds of up to 100Mbps (12.5MB/sec). Those maximum download speeds match the Huawei AI Cube but the upload speeds here are double the 50Mbps offered by that device. That’s because the Huawei B535 WebBox supports Category 7 LTE, while the AI Cube only supports Cat 6.
Currently, on Three you can expect maximum download speeds of around 100Mbps (12.5MB/sec). That's significantly below the B535's theoretical maximum speeds, but it's future-proofed for when speeds increase in the coming months.
