This iridescent gold acrylic gesso by Daniel Smith provides a lustrous metallic ground for oil and acrylic artists. It will enliven the transparent and semi-transparent colours which are painted over it, and will show through gaps between brushstrokes. It is vibrant, lightfast and archival.This product is made with Mica and iron oxide particles. Please remember that the Mica particles in this ground are heavy, and will sink to the bottom of the pot over time. It is therefore a great idea to mix the gesso with a palette knife before use, just to get the Mica back in suspension.
Golden Acrylic Ground for Pastels is a 100% acrylic medium designed to prepare surfaces for the application of pastels, charcoal and other art media where a coarse tooth is desired. It contains finely ground sand (silica) in a pure acrylic emulsion. Acrylic Ground for Pastels can be applied to paper, canvas, wood or any primed support. This allows almost limitless applications for media typically confined to standard papers. ThinningDue to the weight of the solids in Acrylic Ground for Pastels, it is produced very thick, and does not come ready to brush-apply. Thin 20-40% with water to desired consistency. ApplicationApply with brush, paint-roller, spray equipment, squeegee or palette knife.Mix up only as much as is needed for one day's work, as the solids will settle rapidly and be extremely difficult to mix back into suspension.

Art Spectrum Colourfix Primer is a fine tooth, quick drying acrylic primer which bonds agressively to practically any clean, dry surface - all types of papers (300 gsm or heavier recommended), canvas, card, ply, plastic, glass, timber, ceramic and metal. Suitable for a wide range of applications including pastels, charcoal, pencils, inks, acrylics, gouache or even watercolours.
Holbein has created their Coloured Acrylic Gesso to provide artists with a unique range of acrylic grounds. They can be used as a traditional underpainting on all surfaces, including canvas, paper, cloth, wood, stone, and primed metal. The gesso also acts as an extremely opaque and ultra-matt finish acrylic paint medium.
Premium colours have been formulated with micronized, permanent pigments and an extremely resistant, exterior grade hybrid resin-polyurethane base, which withstands impacts, resists chipping and cracking, as well as direct exposure to heat and outdoor elements without cracking or fading, and is fuel residue proof up to a least 35% Nitro. AV Premium colours have superior flow, they are self-levelling and brush on with exceptional ease. For airbrushing, the colours can be used directly from the bottle when using a nozzle size 0,3. For the metallic colours some dilution might be necessary, and for smaller nozzles (O.2mm or less) the use of the Reducer (62.068) may be required. The recommended compressor setting is 30-60psi (2-4 bar). The range consists of 20 bright opaque colours, 23 dazzling metallics and fluorescents, and 9 shimmering transparent Candy Colours. All colours are as suitable for detail work as for covering large surfaces and can be applied by brush as well as by airbrush. The range is complete with 8 auxiliary products including the Transparent Basecoat and the Reducer, Primer, Varnishes and Drying Retarder. For an automotive refinishing and as an extra protective final coating, we recommend a catalyzed urethane clear varnish (spray can or airbrush).
